East Tamaki Healthcare- Dannemora

Arrived around 2pm waited in line to have the receptionist just stare at me. No greeting, no smile, nothing. I then initiated the greeting to have her response be “we are not taking anymore people today”. Her tone was rude, her face was rude/unprofessional. I get it they need to get through the people already there but common be more professional at greet people with a welcoming manner.

You know it's time to change doctors when you are sick or need to see them but you put it off because of the wait time. This is one of the reasons why people self medicate or delay treatment. Healthcare system is generally bad but this place is almost unethical. I've been coming here way before pre covid and nothing's changed. You have to clear out your whole day to be seen here.

Do NOT come to local drs if you have a health condition or actually want help. I was ignored for years by multiple of their drs, from Dannemora and kolmar road clinic. I ended up going to their provided counseling starcare clinic to help me with the mistreatment of their drs. Even the counselor was apologizing for the drs behavior, she also stated she didn't understand why they don't listen to me. Turns out i was right and have multiple things wrong. They ignored me and told me i had panic disorder , their way of fixing it was to give me 9 different anti depressants over 4 years and pump lorazapam in me. Finally i left and got a dr who listens and actually does her job. If you are going for woman's health issues please don't go there ! The drs have absolutely NO knowledge when it comes to gynecological issues. One even told me i could have laparoscopic surgery on my bowels and pelvic area while i was awake. One also lied in her referral to the gynecology clinicby not putting ANY information in the referral so it was declined. . ..the clinic emailed me and asked why my Dr sent it through with no information. Now i am left with Central sensitization syndrome for the rest of my life from these drs neglecting my health needs.I have proof of everything the drs and physiologist emails that were sent to me throughout this whole ordeal. I kept every single one. I will end with " DO NOT go to Local Dr's if you are there for woman's health. They will pump pills into you and tell you to loose weight. Its there base code , they aren't their to help they are there to make money. Hence the 3 hour waiting times.

Absolutely disgusting service. The doctor Made an appointment 2 weeks ago and I took a leave from work to have a little procedure upon arrival was told that the doctor who was to do the procedure is not in and that we need to come back next week or the following week. There was no communication via phone to follow up to say that the doctor is not in today they don' t seem to care I had to give 2 weeks notice for my leave at work and turn up for the appointment then the nurse comes to the reception in placeof the receptionist as the receptionist was new and absolutely doesn't apply 10 rights towards the patient and has a bull of attitude and then walks away very unprofessional nurse had absolutely no respect the way she spoke towards the patient.

No stars Should be given for the service. Receptionists are lethargic no clue want so ever. Terrible experience. Not recommend at all . Need almost full day to see a doctor.

I have been coming to this practice for years and i am so happy to say I have finally left this practice. My new practice in comparison to this one is day and night and now I know what it's like to be properly looked after. The wait times here are horrible and sometimes they don't allow for appointments walk-ins only but wait times can be over 3hours. Can't contact the practice directly by phone, you have to go through a call centre. Reception is really unfriendly and not open at all - her attitude towards you makes you feel like a complete burden. Its so awkward and i really hate it! Most times, even when I really need answers to questions I refrain from asking her because I can already anticipate her unforthcoming one worded response. However shoutout to the head nurse - Nurse Chandra is amazing. Just talking to her you know she is very experienced and so good at her job. I always feel like I'm in good hands when she is looking after me. Doctors here are great too - just the wait times and the receptionist can be unbearable.

I understand our health professionals are under alot of pressure, however waiting on the phone for the call centre for an hour to be redirected to your local Doctor Dannemora and then hung up on. This has gotten out of hand and needs to be addressed. The receptionists are very rude at the desk and do not have any empathy what so ever. It's really disheartening to witness or even be the one having to deal with, especially when your going through serious health issues yourself. The Doctor I went to visit was an absolute gem, content and listened and was very detailed. However the lack of empathy shown by their receptionist were rude

You just need to spare more than 5 Hours whenever you need to see the doctor. Doctors are really good but the clinic administration is just rubbish as they neither take appointments nor there is any time estimation.

Credit has to be given to nurses, they are working hard and efficient. Doctors are also pretty good just slow getting thru patients.

I enrolled 2 weeks ago, and I have called the clinic many times, but nobody answered the phone. So, I'm trying to find another clinic.
