Fantastic shop and people. Love this place. Brought our aquarium, fish, Rainbow Lori and Cockatiel and awesome advice whenever we need it.
Our initial experience with East Road Pets was great, good communication, helpful information and friendly. However when we picked up our $500 parrot a young person was allowed to clip our birds wings. They have been cut too short and it will be 1-2 years before our bird can fly. He drops like a rock, cannot glide at all. He has been injured several times and has no tail feathers left due to falling. The continued danger for our wee bird now is broken bones, broken wing, fractured beast bone. We are very upset and distressed for our bird and how they have crippled him. Please be forewarned and do not allow them to clip your birds wings. 24-08-21 Your comments on flight are a smoke screen. Our bird practices constantly and tries to fly often from the ground and low objects, he should be able to glide and fly short distances. Our bird has finally started to loose a few clipped flight feathers. These were not trimmed... they were cut in half. See picture of our bird and an unclipped parrot. Note the huge difference in the length of the wings. Also note the damage to our wee birds tail feathers.

A wonderful family run pet and pet supply shop that caters for pretty much every animal. Love coming here. The animals are well looked after and the staff and management some of the most knowledgeable around. Helpful,Friendly and nothing is a problem. If they don't have it you probably cannot buy it : Been here since Adam was a cowboy and hopefully will never move :

So many sick betta fish with colourful gravel that seem to be poisoning them, told a member of the staff that one had fin rot and she really didn’t care, I go in there often to have a look and have rescued an overfed, bloated Betta from them, absolutely heartbreaking.
Great pets to buy great products great place to take kids for a look
Very helpful and it was much appreciated thank u the collar looks awesum as u cn see by the pics at the bottom of my dog and new collar. been in again took a few snaps 2 show u all my side they haue once again hav gone out of their way 2 help me and we talked about how 1 brand can be so much dearer than another so choose wisely and make sure u ask 4 help if unsure they are awesum help.12th march
Bit expensive but does have lots of good stuff for pets. A word of advise : don’t believe every bit of advise regarding pet care from here. Get a second opinion or confirmation from vet or vet website. They tried to tell me the pellets they sell for rabbit food is good for them. They most definitely are not. Consistently feeding a rabbit pellets is like feeding a baby McDonalds it just isn’t good and each vet or reputable website I looked at went against advise I got from East Rd pets. They are there to sell you their product!!
