Dux Central

I was very impressed. Dux is an iconic chch brand and to be honest I hadn't been to either post earthquake Dux incarnations. Didn't disappoint when I met a colleague for a relaxed lunch. Great vibe in a casual relaxed inner city setting. Well presented food and professional friendly staff. Nice spot and intend going back with friends.

Great location. Lovely friendly service with a smile. Tasty food. We were lucky enough to get seating outside upstairs. My and my friends' only critism is that it was a very hot day and there was no shelter from the evening sun which impacted on our overall enjoyment. I would definitely return but on a scorcher of a day like Christmas Eve was, if there was insufficient indoor seating or shade to protect us from the sun I would be inclined to move on earlier than planned.

Awesome pretentious atmosphere , you can tell the bar staff are well trained by the way they glare at you just for showing up. I truly felt out of place when my card declined on 1 can of beer that cost more than my car . Very humbling experience . Would visit again because now having people look down their nose at me when I start visibly perspiring after being told the cost 330 ml of liquid carbohydrates is the only way I can get off .

Chicken nachos one of the best things I've had since being back in Chch. One plate big enough for two. Super friendly staff, amazing beer selection, lovely outdoor courtyard and interesting, shall we say, artwork on the toilet doors. Just go!
