Dunsandel Country Café & Bar is now open!

Located at the Dunsandel Tavern premises we now offer a café setting 7 days a week from 8.30am and a restaurant menu Thursday - Sunday evenings from 5pm. Bar meals are also available daily from midday.

Beautiful country setting which is family friendly.

So much has changed with the new owner...we had a lovely lunch snack returning from Mt Cook to Christchurch and stopped here to refresh 700 kms later...all the best
Drive past this place all the time. Never stopped until today and so glad we did. Awesome, friendly and helpful staff. Amazing food! Good playground out the back to entertain the kids while you relax in their outdoor area. Will be back for sure. Thank you.
We came here on Thursday evening for dinner. We started with Focaccia bread, we ordered 3 Burgers 2 Lamb, 1 Beef 1 Chicken Schnitzel. Food and Service was lovely, will be back again in the future.
Fishing club had our xmas dinner here, not one complaint. Food was well priced and excepional portion sizes, such that several did not get finished. Desserts looked awesome for those that had them but u fottunately I could not fit it in. Service excellent too, regularly checking in on us.
Not good , service poor , not much on menu. It was very disappointing considering both parties traveled just to meet there.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food and drinks. Had a lovely lunch with the family and our dogs in the outdoor area.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, great presentation and food was fresh and tasty. The cheesecake for dessert was superb. Will definitely be going back.
Very nice meals ,would go again. Chicken Parmigiana was the nicest my daughter had. Pan fried blue cod on potato gratin, very delicious but could have done with 1 more piece of cod for the price we paid for that dish and deluxe burger was very tasty so my husband said.. Atmosphere was good.
The place is looking awesome so we stopped in for dinner. Was just perfect. Unbelievable seafood platters, massive servings, friendly staff and excellent value for money. We'll be back!
I absolutely loved the Arancini balls you made for a Synalit work do a few weeks ago. I had about 10 and took as many home as I could. All other food provided that day was good. Very full.
