I am extremely grateful to have Dr. Simon Skalicky performed the cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I was seriously shortsighted with -15 on both eyes. Prior to seeing Simon, I have consulted two other Ophthalmologists and both were quite reluctant to operate on my eyes worrying about the risk of retinal detachment during and after surgery. I was fortunate to have my Optometrist referring Simon to me. Simon was very confident and assertive to take me on board. He has professionally outlined the risk and complications so that I made an informed decision to go ahead. Now with a 20/20 vision, I can't thank him enough.
My partner had two surgeries performed by A/Prof Skalicky - first class work with a perfect result. Support staff excellent.

Despite his busy schedule, Dr Simon Skalicky saw me in an emergency situation on short notice. I highly recommend Dr Simon Skalicky. Great bedside manner, very knowledgeable and excellent eye specialist! Very happy with his services and the results.
My optometrist referred me to Dr Skalicky because of 'narrow angles' and risk of glaucoma. This problem was well explained, and I decided to undergo the laser procedure recommended. The laser went very well, minimal discomfort I was terrified and asked for a general anaesthetic, he said it was unnecessary and he was right! and at followup has been successful. A long term management plan has been made. I am very happy with Dr Skalicky's explanation and care.
As a retired health professional my experience and observation of the treatment I have, and continue to receive, from Dr Simon Skalicky is that he is one of the very best opthalmologists in the country.
Excellent care with a gentle bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable and resolved my issue straight away. Highly recommend.
