John Vissaritis was my doctor for about 15 years or more.and we developed, what I considered to be, an excellent doctor/patient relationship. When I moved to Mt Eliza he suggested that I find another doctor as it was a bit far to travel to my bedside. I found one briefly, but then lived overseas for 9 years. When I returned to Melbourne I tried to make an appointment but I was told he wasn't taking any NEW patients. Then in June 17 I managed to get an appointment. I don't have any serious health issues but I wanted to talk to him about some physiotherapy. When I went into his room he asked if we knew each other. My name is uncommon and I share it with his sister-in-law, I remember. I had taken in copies of previous blood tests etc for his records. This seemed to concern him. He asked what I wanted. I explained and he said he couldn't help me AND it would take too long. With that, he took me out to reception to pay, which I stupidly did. This doctor is obviously losing his memory or his mind or both. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. I would prefer to not give any stars but it seems as if I have to leave 1!
John has been my doctor for nearly 20 years and I inherited him from my parents who he looked after for more years than he would like me to say. We always found him to be affable, caring and most importantly a damn good doctor. He may be to the point and I would suggest doesn't suffer fools but even this trait he executes with courtesy and tact. I've read the other reviews and interestingly one of them seems to be a serial whinger. So he didn't remember you after 9 years, maybe you're not that remarkable. Anyway, love his style, the receptionists are always great to deal with and the art nouveau decorations are classic. Could improve the reading material though.
Unfortunately like many doctors, he’s just into doing business. Your health and body is the last thing that matters to him. I went there once and told him about my health issue and then I went to tell him the other problem I had. He interrupted me and took me to his secretary and asked her to give me an appointment for a full check up and he left! I left without getting any answer for my health issues. A doctor whose only focus is to make money rather than caring about the health of the patients doesn’t deserve to be called Doctor!
This GP CLINIC has a very unique And comfortable environment. The receptionist is very kind and friendly. Dr John took time and thoughtly examined patients and gave professional advice based on his findings. Thank you all.
Dr John is fabulous in his manner , patience and easy to talk to. Receptionist is a bit of a loose unit though, not in constant with the environment.
Dr Vissaritis has been my GP for the past 15 years, a wealth of knowledge and is very caring and always knows how to make me feel better. Thank you.
Pretty useless for a GP.
