Completely agree with the other 1 star diagnosis here. He did not like me asking questions did not believe in using medication and in fact said to me if I stopped my medication and aye more fruit and vegetables I would be cured! Completely ridiculous and unhelpful in any way. Would never recommend to anyone

This is the only 1 star I have ever given in my life, so not something I do lightly or easily. The summary is hard work. And now with healthy eyes I couldn't go near recommending. He has a very flippant style and does not like being challenged. I don't say this lightly either but the further into recovery I get and the clearer I become, as I look back on the sessions, I struggle to see how he is practicing under the banner of a psychiatrist. He may have the qualifications on the wall but it is not how he practiced with me (and I know others that have had similar experiences). I'd go as far as to say he did not properly undertake his duty of care. When you are already desperate and struggling, having your mental health professional play games is not helpful. He seems to take issue with being questioned. Especially if he deems it as challenging his view or intellect (even when it is not). Because I dug and would not blindly accept why/what was being said/done, even though following every other instruction, he tried to tell me to go elsewhere, that he did not do medications and was not an expert in medications... that would have been nice to know 7 sessions earlier, given it is what differentiates a psychiatrist from others. What was especially concerning for me was the thing one thing I kept challenging was because I could not get an answer that made sense. He had clearly heard something and that became the core of the diagnosis despite it not being pertinent for the majority of my life and time I have had issues. In doing so he ruled out what 4 other professionals had pointed to. His view was something I would have been wrapped about, if true, but had potentially dire consequences if not. It was only through ongoing questioning and my frustration that he finally registered his error and risk. It took me pointing out that his suggested adjustment to my mediation could have presented a massive risk to my mental health if he was wrong. Even more concerning is when that when I connected the dots for him and he finally got it his response in rather flippant tone was "why would you reduce X med if you have Y issue. It will highly likely cause Z reaction (Z is bad!! :-))". To top it off. After 3 of the sessions (of 7) actively trying to push me elsewhere (due my questioning). The last one quite heated and extremely frustrated. When he finally registered his possible error in diagnosis and risk in medication advice he had the nerve to ask if I want another session. Chris openly and publicly admitted to narcissistic challenges (see YouTube). In hindsight, with a clear mind I believe that was exactly what was in play. In my first session he noted he wished my patients would do as much research as I had (I like to understand the why). I think Chris was challenged that he was unable to fob off my questions without an appropriate or suitably informed answer. Therefore if you need things explained until they make sense to you and you will not just accept cursory brush offs or glaring holes he is probably not for you. I selected Chris for a holistic (integrative) approach as I didn't just want drugs thrown at me until they stuck. I also wanted someone to challenge me. Which he did, that much I will give him. Unfortunately he couldn't take what he gave and what I learned is he is VERY heavily bias to the alternative. He was basically hell bent on not using traditional medicine in his arsenal (and we are talking after years of ongoing issues and very good success with current meds). Any conversation in that direction was deflected or shut down and I was pushed to another Dr or Psychiatrist for their view. The supplementation information he provided was good, although I already took most of it, so not a whole lot of value for me. In my view he is practicing more like a naturopath with some condensed psychology. If that is what you want he is probably for you.

If I could give less than 1 star I would This guy is a an elitist prick with nothing justifying his attitude I strongly doubt his credentials are genuine He will not see anyone who has been a victim of a serious violent crime nor will he take any patient who has any association with the judicial system. I strongly believe that this is to avoid the scrutiny that would expose him for the fraud I believe him to be After just one phone call I have been left so outraged that If I saw him in the street I would so tempted to spit in his face and kick him the balls This man needs to be investigated and his credentials scrutinized The referring GP said that he can no longer refer anyone to this man as he is also concerned about the validity of qualifications
