Absolutely appalled at the state of the whole place, particularly amenities block. It looked like the place had not been cleaned for weeks as there was a thick layer of bird droppings on the hand basin, bench and hand air dryer. Floors had not been cleaned as evidence of stains and many leaves on the floor. There was debris in urinal trough.nThe charge of $45 a night was extremely excessive for the state of the facilities and a hot shower cost $1 for 3 minutes. There was no hot water in the hand basins.nThere was no one in attendance other than a very sad cockatoo. It would be better to close the park rather than users calling it “The Dover Dump”
The owners are renovating the park so limited options available for shade and camping. The camp kitchen was very handy. I hope the renovations result in better facilities as we don't think it is worth $30 per night and $1 for showers while renovating going on. Dover is a nice place and this is an essential service for a small town.
On arrival we were far from impressed. After talking to the owners and voicing our concerns they turned a disappointment into a positive. We thank them for it.
Owners were lovely and facilities have been spotless, they obviously take great pride in maintaining this lovely camp-site.nnWe'll definitely be back!
We had to camp in the car park as we were informed the park was full, but there where vacant sites everywhere, very expensive and had to pay for showers.
