My recent visit to Dosa Hut was somewhat disappointing. Despite Google indicating it was closed on Tuesdays, it was open, which was initially confusing. While the premises were spacious and the service was prompt, the food fell short of expectations. I ordered the 2 masala dosa, idli, and vada combo with a can of drink, but I decided to pay an extra $1.50 for a mango lassi instead. Although the dosa was satisfactory and properly filled, the vada and idli were disappointingly dry. Furthermore, there wasn't enough sambar provided, and the plate lacked depth for proper dipping. Overall, while the experience wasn't that great, there's certainly room for improvement in the food quality and presentation.
Oh my god reviews don’t do justice to this place. The food quality and price both equally awful. We ordered the dosas and biryani. Hard to say what was worse. 1 star is for the staff that put up with this nonsense. Watery chutneys and no meat goat biryani. We tried hard to find some meat I. Goat biryani but no luck. Not sure if it’s cost cutting or just pure poor food. I do wonder how places like this still exist. Read the reviews. Not worth wasting money at all. Waste of appetite and money. Not recommend for sure !
My family and friends enjoy the food here - it suits the oriental palate.. We did take-away chicken briyani today. Their menu says their family briyani feeds 4-5 people. It was a lot for 4 of us, enough for 2 meals.
The 4 of us ate here for about $18.5 each.nnI got the roti to dip into the dishes. I didn’t really like it a lot. It’s kinda ok the flaky side and somewhat thick. It didn’t really have too much flavour and texture wasn’t that good.nnThe goat masala was pretty good. It’s got a nice flavour, soft tender meat. There’s even bone marrow in there which tasted sweet, kind of like lamb fat that’s been rendered well. It’s a nice spicy, savoury dish for the roti.nnThe palak paneer is my favourite one. It’s chunky, has quite a fair bit of paneer in it. It’s really savoury and tastes amazing even by itself.nnThe butter chicken wasn’t my favourite. It was more like a chicken curry, it’s not sweet, just savoury which was alright. The chicken was tender though and still decent.nnOverall it’s a pretty good place. I liked some of the dishes more than the other. Some of the items can be pretty pricey as well.
Do you have good taste buds? If yes, avoid this restaurant at any cost. Even after reading so many 1-star reviews, my friend and I thought of trying the food, and we totally regret it.nnPepper Chicken gravy? It was our mistake ordering it . In my entire life, I haven’t seen any restaurant adding whole pepper in a base gravy and naming it as pepper chicken . Literally, we found 50-60g of whole black pepper in the dish look at the picture.nnGobi Manchurian? I agree that Manchurian needs to be saucy, but not burnt in sauce and then dipped again to cover the mistake look at the picture.nnButter and garlic Naan? Butter Naan was okay. However, garlic naan, I believe they use garlic paste from canned food :.nnSzechuan Chicken Noodles was pretty good, not that bad.nnService: Come on, guys, for sure you all will get paid by the owner. You don’t have to stand at attention near the customers and keep staring at them :
