I didn't know what kind of food they were selling so I just walked in, seat and random ordered. For me, taste just average nothing special. Curry and soup are bland not rich flavour enough, menu are pricey comparing the portion, portion are too small.
Delicious Donburi!!! I have ordered Tongue Donburi with Japanese Curry and Egg, it was yummy and perfect portion. Another dish was Karaage Donburi was great too. But Salmon sashimi seems too expensive, $12 for 3 small pieces. Dessert was tasty too, good portion and reasonable price. A lot of space!Food: 4/5
I absolutely adore wagyu don and this was everything that I loved in one bowl. Tender meat, gooey eggs, and soft rice. It's always way more filling than I give it credit. The pork katsu don was killer, that crunch was perfection and the curry was spot on. Top value for money, will definitely be back for the freshness and flavour.
Aesthetically speaking, the food looks amazing and does match the photos. I ordered the free range chicken don set set included small salad and miso soup which was $19. Food tasted great although my only gripe was that portion size was a little less than i expected. Food came out quick. Otherwise a good experience overall.
Friendly and quick service Japanese restaurant located in Darling Square. Order at the counter and collect the food when the buzzer vibrates. Kids set comes with a toy and choice of drink. We tried the kids set and end up ordering more as the portion was too tiny.Food: 4/5
Lovely quality of food! Really beautiful flavours and appealing presentation. Really loved the flavour of the miso soup. Price not cheap though. The wait time did take a while due to high density of customers. Wasn’t too fussed on the Mango Kakigori - too much ice and not much sweetness.
So cool that they have buy one dessert get the second half price from 3-5 : Very light and yummy desserts. The matcha isn’t too strong and it is also not too sweet. Mochi has such a cool filling and texture. Whole seating area is pretty cute and the staff were very friendly :
On the corner, long and thin, with some outside seating. Boppy music. Extensive range of standard Japanese don bowls. Food is well cooked and presented. Servings are a fair size. Perhaps a little expensive - but generally very good
A day in the city and we were itching for some Japanese. We had walked past them numerous times, but this was the first time we decided to actually give them a go. Ordering was simple, self serve at the front for takeaway or inside over the counter for dine in and takeaway. Their menu is extensive, we went for the Katsu Chicken Don Set and the Wagyu Beef Don Set that supposedly had an Australian marbling score of 8-9. Drink choices had a bit of everything but not any sugar free options on the soft drinks which was a disappointment. If you're diabetic or trying to control your sugar intake you're out of luck unless you go straight for water. Overall the food was good. The chicken was crispy and packing flavour. The Wagyu beef was flavourful but a bit on the chewy side. The marbling score of 8 - 9 stated on the menu didn't quite add up but was still great and the price was still very reasonable. The salad was a miss but the Miso soup really hit the mark and helped wash everything down well. Overall a great time and with a few tweaks it can excel a lot more. Would be happy to come back and give the other items on the menu a go as well.
The self picking up of food is a bad idea got hit by another walking by customer almost dropping the trey full of my orders. Kiosk machine is slow and not very intuitive, the line is very long. Food is generally ok. Salmon sashimi is bad bc fish skin is still attached, not properly processed. The beef don and curry is average. Gelato and Gyoza is great though.
