Doo-Bop Jazz Bar is Brisbane's latest live music venue dedicated to the love of all things jazz.

Story

Doo-Bop Jazz Bar has over 80 live music performances across its two levels every month.

Doo Bop Piano Bar is on ground level, and has free live music events Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm. Operating as a cafe by day, the Piano Bar transforms into a stylish Art Deco cocktail bar with tapas and tasting plates by night.

Doo Bop Jazz Bar is quintessentially jazz. In the subterranean basement you will find a large stage featuring a fully refurbished 1955 Steinway Model B grand piano from New York. Live jazz performances every night of the week from 6.30pm-10pm, with the Late Night Jam sessions from 10.30pm to 2.30am. All welcome!

Loved this little secret. So happy we accidentally passed it and were invited in. My partner and i love jazz music and its so rare to find a place like this. Music was great, food was even better and so affordable, despite the fine dining quality. Atmosphere and staff and service were fabulous. Cannot wait to be back!

Absolutely love this place - never disappoints me. If you are looking for nice wine and cocktails, then this is definitely the place. The bartenders are so interactive, and will take the time out of their day to explain the ingredients of the drink to you - and the variety of drinks is not limited to the menu. If you're really nice - drinks can be invented upon request as well. The waitresses have great customer service, and are always looking presentable. The chefs in the kitchen do an amazing job in presenting the food so beautifully - and more importantly it tastes great ! "I hate unwinding over a glass of wine and listening to live Jazz after work". - said No One Ever.

A fantastic place to lay low and unwind after a hard day's work. My wife and I have dropped by after work a few times for a drink and nibblies while enjoying the smooth piano and vocals provided by the varied artists. It's quite a relaxing atmosphere to soak in, however due to the performers it can be a bit tricky to have a conversation (which is understandable, given the proximity to the instruments and the size of the room). We had a glass of the house red, an alcoholic ginger beer and an assorted cheese platter. Absolutely delicious!

My partner and I booked a two course meal and seats to the show in advance, which I think is definitely the way to go as when we arrived it was sold out! The door man who greeted us was lovely, as were the waiters and waitresses who looked after us. Music was great, loved being able to enjoy a meal and some Jazz at the same time. Whisky sours were delish! The ambiance of this place is wonderful, feels like a hidden gem, though obviously very popular.

I love the place. Always has good Jazz music. Service is excellent. There is a piano stage place and also another place in the basement with another jazz stage. Both stages have different gigs so make sure you know where you are going. The place is in the city center, easy to locate.
