Never been to a hostel that felt more like home. Whole hearted family run the hostel, the manager keeps you safe and giggling. the crowd it attracts is one of the best parts. Hands down best connections in Aus I’ve made and probably impossible to beat.
Currently Dolphins Beach House has a policy of requiring a passport as ID. This is an old connivance some hostels have used to discourage Australians. Under anti discrimination laws places of public accommodation cannot do this unless being run as a private club. Over the years a number of hostels in Australia including the Sunshine Coast have been prosecuted for discriminating in this way. In the year 2024 its surprising some hostels still persist with this.
A lovely hostel with a nice vibe. The team were super flexible with check-in and left my key out for me so that I could check in a bit later. It's a short walk to the beach and Sunshine Beach main street.
Great find. We had a double room with our own bathroom for two nights. $350 Clean and comfortable in a lovely quiet part of the coast. The surrounding gardens make this place feel like a wonderful sanctuary. Very relaxing and quiet. Our bed was a double not a queen so tall people might want to check that when booking.
Basic hostel, in walking distance to a beach and bus stops but it's a 30 min walk to Noosa Heads. If you want to stay in the hostel for a few hours after check out you have to pay 15 AUD. The rooms are basic, no lockers and not a lot of electric outlets.
