The people were very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and helpful. I had a number of transactions to be taken care of, the wait time only just allowed me time enough to fill in some of the forms. I was only there for a approx one hour but the number of people they were seeing and helping was impressive.
The staff person at the entrance was polite and informed re the wait… waited over an hour and then asked to leave as closed. They continued to serve 15 minutes passed their closing time but limited staff. It seems it went from 4 to two staff for the last 25 minutes and hence about a dozen people will need to go back. I know there are issues with staff… but it is a govt dept… The 3 stars are for the staff having to deal with customers who expect and don’t get served…the other 2 stars are lost because I did not get served….
Been to success DOT multiple times for my PDA and even though I failed, the assessors are really polite and nice and let you know what the problems are without being condescending. Definitely boosts your morale and confidence for next time. The assessors are calm when they are with you and more than willing to answer questions which also makes you less nervous and drive better. Completely different experience compared to Joondalup. The staff within the DOT are also very polite and courteous and quite efficient. Did not have to wait and was in and out of the centre within 10 minutes. Highly appreciate the efforts of the team. :D
First time I took a day off work to swap my plates. The place said they didn’t have enough staff and closed 10mins after opening. Took another day off work both times a Friday Waited for 2.5 hours to get a licence plate swap, actual time it took once I was seen to was 1min. Staff were polite, but no apologies for the wait. No warning of wait times. Completely unreasonable wait periods. Need more staff clearly. Maybe it’s a Friday thing.
The assessor number 2170 I had for my PDA today was very friendly and helped me feel at ease. I think he was a very fair assessor and understands that people will be nervous and make small mistakes even if you are a good driver. There was pretty much no wait time for my assessment or getting my license processed either. If you are a safe and confident driver then you should pass but make sure to continue to work on things that need improving. I've seen way too many P players driving extremely unsafe on the roads and showing complete disregard to other drivers. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the people leaving reviews slighting other assessors are because they are actually really unsafe drives even if they are 'following the rules' ‍
Blown away by the service of the greeter and the person at the counter Dione? I think was her name. Both were very efficient and knowledgeable. Premises are new, place is welcoming.
If rude & inconsiderate was a person, it would be this joint! Got there before 4pm they close at 4.30pm, was served a ticket and they are serving 2 pple every 10 minutes! At about 4.50pm a guy came and announced that we all have to leave as they cant serve anyone anymore. So we waited for 1 hour to be given no service? There was people in front of me. At first we all thought it was a joke, and they herded us out. Just like that!
I'm so grateful for the driving assessor that I was assigned to for my PDA today. The parking was surprisingly easy and the process was very swift. Thank you to Neil as he was very reasonable and understanding during my exam, allowing me to pass. Thankyou very much!!
The assessor name Don. Failed me because my sitting position wasnt correct after driving 35 min. Then he point out I asked you pull over when its safe, that's what I did but he said do it immediately, not sure what immediate definition is. I know when its safe and not infront of fire hydrant. If there was negative marking i would give this to the assessors
Had to go 4 times to register a trailer. 1st time didn’t accept photo of receipt on my phone. 2nd time receipt said Boat as was purchased as a package Boat and Trailer. 3rd time didn’t say paid in full 4th time finally accepted DOT might have been good back in 1980 when their systems were designed. I understand they are trying to stop people steeling trailers and registering them which is great but above system would not stop a thief anyway is just wasting the average persons time/life. No wonder people are so stressed etc and depressed when have to deal with government departments like DOT
