PRIVACY - I had to renew my licence yesterday and the customer service officer whose name I missed sadly really deserves a shout out, she was very conscious about stating private detailsnwhen others were beside us at the ticket screen. Tried phoning to change organisation address for my workplace, after many identification questions and 10 minutes on hold, was advised that I would have to attend in person with letter on letterhead stating reason of address change.nnArrived at Gympie TMR, when ticket number finally called, I provided the letter on letterhead signed by the school principal. The customer service officer refused to accept that the school address was what was stated on the signed letter as Google maps was telling her the school was at a different address number. She even asked me if I was sure that I had the right address! As an AO5 departmental employee with a signed letter from the Principal, to be questioned if I knew the address of my own workplace, was very offensive. I was told I would have to bring in further documentation. This was not what I had been advised in my previous phone call. I asked if I could email the council approval of the address change. I was made to wait to the side while she served other people. Even when I had the email on my phone to show her, she started serving other people so I had to wait even longer. After about an hour it was finally resolved.nnGympie TMR staff - do not rely on Google maps as a point of truth, the address number showing on Google maps was an ‘even’ number which is the numbering for the houses on the opposite side of the street to the school! Which you would have seen if you’d checked the neighbouring properties. The school address is an odd number.nAlso, please serve departmental staff promptly, as they need to return to work, unlike the other people you were serving.
I had a wonderful experience! The examiner was patient, fair, and very professional. The staff were super friendly and made everything smooth and stress-free. One of the best places! Would definitely recommend!
I am very happy with the customer service so 5 stars for the staff. But this 1 Star is for TMR as an organisation. The system they have is ridiculous. So this is the first time I have bought 2 trailers from Victoria. I got the RWC done & went to get it registered. They then advised me to get another certificate of the length as it was above 750kgs weight. I had to pay $200 extra to get those non sense certificates. The nice lady at the reception advised me they are phasing out these length certificates in July. So why phase out a system which was so good on the first place or have they realised there is no point to it. Why not have the RWC guy measure it on the first place. I don't like Victoria but at least their Vicroads system is the best. We are still living in medieval times.
I took my practical driving test here. The ladies at the counter were kind and friendly, and explained everything professionally.nnMy examiner, Andy, was professional, calm, and polite. He made me feel under no pressure while driving. I passed the test without any problems.nnI definitely recommend this TMR. Thank you!
