I was the last person who was doing the test and Peter the instructor was absolutely wonderful during my driving test — calm, kind, and very professional. He made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process. Thank you, Peter, for making the experience so positive!
I don’t even how I’m supposed explain my experience with my test for my ps. I’ll start with the moment I met Liz, she asked if my phone was off I said yes, my mum then asked me if she could just take my phone with her for the test and Liz responded rudely saying “are you gonna take his phone every time he goes driving” I’m not gonna let that disrespect to mum slide, as a professional and a grown woman she should be able to handle that kind of situation a lot better, along with this when my sisters did their test my mum took their phones the instructor actually recommended she took it. I then started my drive and exiting the building I saw that a red car was turning into the car park, he then stoped for a second and then started to go, I then went, she said I was wrong as I apparently didn’t know where they were turning, mind you that car was already at a 90 degree angle going into the car park. Then comes the time she failed me, on the first turn at the lights there was a zebra crossing I couldn’t see as Liz was in the way so I slowed down to less than 10kph and adjust my head so I could see, she just slammed the breaks and said I wasn’t paying attention to the car going past on the road I was about to turn onto, if you have ever drove there you know that the zebra crossing is quite a bit away from the turn, mind you I was going maybe about 7-8kph was about 3-5 seconds away from the line giving me so much time to see the car which I was already aware about and I didn’t want to slam breaks when I had so much space between me and the line. I now have to wait until February to do my test and I have been accepted into a school in Victoria meaning I’m going to miss the first week of my school, I’ve also heard a lot about Liz and how she gets a satisfaction off failing people. Liz has ruined my birthday and the first two month of of my life going into my last year of school and living interstate for a year.nnI recommend if you are to get a test with Liz I would record what she says before the test to your parents and during the test to you, also make sure you have a dashcamnnScammed of over $60 aswell
Hi,nnToday I had my p’s test with Liz, I was prepared to have a strict examiner and would expect nothing less as it’s their job to make sure drivers are safe.nnHowever, my experience with Liz was quite horrible from the get go. I am not from sunny coast so it was my first time at this department and I was unsure where to park. I had followed other drivers and parked directly out the front and communicated this with the kind lady who checked me in, she said this was fine though I think maybe there was some miss communication as apparently I wasn’t allowed to park there and was required to be in another spot behind the road I was on. I waited for Liz as instructed and after walking past my car she came back and angrily stared at me, so I opened the door and went to greet her but was met with questions of why I was parked there, I wasn’t allowed to park there, I was meant to go somewhere else. To this I responded with many apologies and explained I told the lady inside where I had parked and wasn’t instructed otherwise. She continued to go on about how I was wrong for parking there and should’ve been somewhere else and kept asking why I was there, after I had explained exactly why I had stayed there.nnThen during the test I did a three point turn and I believe I consciously checked the back window twice over my shoulder briefly before reversing, Liz at this time was writing in her notes but had brought me back to the centre later to tell me I did not check over the back. I was confused as I remember checking and didn’t quite know how she would be able to tell clearly as she wasn’t paying noticeable attention however maybe I was wrong and I just didn’t check clearly enough for her to see.nnI also performed a u-turn at a T intersection. My instructor had taught me that when doing this, I shoulder indicate right, pull over to the opposite side of the road and pull over slightly, then put my left indicator so that if someone was passing they could see that I was pulled aside. He explained that this was safer as I had time to check surrounds and make a safe u turn, and when it was safe to complete the u turn I could indicate right and turn back into the street and continue. I understand how this may have been wrong but this was what I was taught so I did this in the test, when I indicated left to pull over to check Liz asked quite aggressively what I was doing. I said I was indicating so I could check it was safe before continuing and she told me to turn it off and that it was so weird for me to do that. She continued to laugh at me pretty rudely and continued to ask why I did that, I said my instructor had taught me this and explained his reasoning that he had told me. She asked how my instructor was and she reply sounding pretty disappointed and disgusted. She continued to tell me that it was so “weird” of me to do that and was making me feel really silly for doing what I was instructed to do.nnThen lastly, we came back to the centre 10mins early because I “didn’t check over the back when reversing” and on the way back we came to a round about. Liz instructed me to turn left at the round about, I was the first car in line as I pulled up and I put my left Indicator. She immediately asked why I had my indicator on, I explained that it was because I was turning left at the round about. She continued to tell me I was wrong again in a very harsh manner and say I shouldn’t have had it on and then when I entered the round about I was told to turn it back on for two seconds. It is to my knowledge that you must indicate when coming up to the round about to let drivers behind you and other drivers on the round about, where you are going. This has been confirmed to me by 2 instructors and other people I have driven with.nnWas an extremely negative experience and was far beyond the strict examiner that I had been told to prepare for. I believe she was quite unprofessional and just plain rude, had a horrible attitude and I didn’t agree with some of the comments she made.
Didn’t have to wait very long to be seen. Gavin helped me exchange my licence and he was an absolute delight. Very kind, fun and professional, really liked him.
Just had my driving test this morning with Liz, she was really nice and welcoming and made the environment comfortable. Thank you Liz!!!
