Waiting for four months for a tourist visa for a wedding after proving all the required information and having travelled to Australia before. Have Absolutely no care for people or their time. There’s absolutely No way to contact an officer or get any sort of help through an actual human.You call for help and none of the customer services reps are qualified to advise you and are never willing to help you. Every thing just directs you to their website. You can see from the reviews that this is probably one of the least efficient and careless immigration centres out there. They have no respect for you or your mental health. Ive spent nights in tears because my sister cant make it to our wedding thanks to you. Why cant you hire more people and ensure every application gets a fair go without racism. Really disappointed as a citizen.
Just received a refusal decision for a student visa application with the wrong courses mentioned. I do not know what 'streamlining' process the department is doing but i really expected the department to do better. I had rather wait a bit longer for a decision to be made instead of having to deal with this refusal, whats surprising is that WA announced they wanted more students here too so clearly the state and federal government are not communicating to each other.
Worst ever for WA got 190 nomination and applied for developer programmer since 4months with 95points they are giving PR to those with less or no experience and less points in 2days but neglecting those with good experience, job and higher points. Very slow processing times long wait periods and what not fed up with the home affairs plz do reduce the WA wait period for 190 PR giving Vic 190 for everyone and what about WA are we not important to you???
Staff is very rude and not answer the questions. Even hang phone when asking questions on helpline. NO acknowledgments on feedback. Its not look like staff is working in Australia. As i know and my experience Australian government agencies always helpful to customers . But department of home affairs has ever worst number of staff right now.
Applied for a role. Was aware they needed help as totally understaffed. Time for a career change - and guess what did not even get to the interview stage. Maybe overqualified I can’t figure it out what a joke. Good luck with your team of underachievers, and to the customer trying to deal with you knobs. New government but same, same.
Wanted to give negative but cannot do that. I have wasted 3 hours+ being on the phone line trying to explain my issue. Several times they just dismissed it saying, if VEVO is showing everything correctly it means it’s correct. Only twice, my issue was actually of concern to two different people where they clearly said “something seems to be wrong on our file of you, let us rectify it” But that line got disconnected because of their error! And oh my god, after that I couldn’t convince them to put me back to them or help me at all. They are rude and don’t want to help you. If line gets disconnected, they will not put you back on with the same person. So you have to explain your complicated issue again and again. The whole system is unhelpful, tedious and needs to be updated NOW. It’s freaking 2022. Stop making people’s lives difficult when it’s not their fault but your systems’! Very very disappointing.
If I could give less than one star I would. Longer than an hour wait, they keep referencing their website, that is generally unhelpful, the whole time you are waiting. I am calling because my parents are elderly and they couldn't figure out the website and the information they needed wasn't there. For a government body the lack of accommodation for people's abilities is horrifying. An elderly or disabled person shouldn't have to wait on a phone for help for an 1 hour +.
Absolutely dreadful experience. I rang regarding a delicate matter as my son who has lost his citizenship certificate & unable to find work because of this. My son has submitted an application for a replacement as he has missed out on several employment opportunities, this is causing him angst & depression. I explained this & asked if there was any way to fast forward the application as I’m very concerned about his mental health. The guy I was speaking with started laughing manically on the phone, the background noise sounded like a full on party. When I mentioned above, he told me it’s a call centre hence the noise. Very uncaring & very unhelpful. So disappointing to be treated like this.
Really worst explanation and reasons giving when they refused my wife dependant visa. We have been married from 3 years and they said they think it’s fake marriage how they think they have evidence on their front of their eyes. They said in India she is not economically wells Seriously she just want to live with her husband nothing else we have been apart from 3 years and they just can’t understand how terrible their decision made our life. We will leave this country soon
This the wast service I have everrrrrr had, put me on hold for 70 minutes to reset immi password, and when finally answered, she put me on hold twice again, I was at her silently. Man that was disaster, in total 80 minutes to reset simple password.
