Upon arrival, we entered the lobby and were greeted and instantly felt welcomed. We took our room key and opened the door to this beautiful room with the king canopy bed and 2 person spa tub (well worth it). My partner and I will not be wasting any time staying anywhere else in Rockhampton. We chose to have outback breakfast included in our rate and that also was well worth it. We had a huge selection of hot food plus variety of cereals and yogurts to choose from. Was divine. The grounds are also beautiful. You really can’t recreate such timeless architecture. Also loved the private parking area that was literally right in front of our room. We spent most of our time in our room instead of site seeing but enjoyed every bit. This place makes you feel every bit of relaxed. The only, and I mean absolutely only negative thing I’ve found, is the shower curtain definitely needs to be longer- or put two up to cover the whole tub. 10/10 recommend anyone to stay here. Prices are extremely fair for what you get ❤️

Incredible value for the money. The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed with period styled pieces. The spa bath in the room was a great addition. The Great Western Hotel is across the road and has great dinner options and entertainment. Would definitely recommend the Denison!

A very unique hotel. The room had a lovely, old world, luxurious feel to it. A little bit disappointed that we had a share a table with other guests at breakfast, especially as the hotel is sometimes promoted as a romantic getaway, but this is only a minor complaint from an introvert :). The breakfast was a simple buffet but had everything you need or want. Highly recommended and would be more than happy to return.

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are very nicely appointed, they are large with high ceilings. Very clean and big comfy beds. The Great Western pub over the road which is convenient and offers up a pretty good steak. Been here a few times and will return again.
