What a mesmorising location! On top of that you have one of the most extensive beer menu in the region to compliment a well cooked food offerings. We enjoyed the seafood board for 2 tonight and it was exquisite. The fish was perfectly battered and fried as was the calamarie. The oysters tasted fresh and clean while the mussles mixed in well with the spicy sauce. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a quiet evening overlooking the water and comtemplate on the luxury boats which I will never buy.
Awesome 5 star service, food and of course beer, we had top shelf beers but worth it. Impressive how well the waiter knows the details of all the beers. First time I've had a beer matched to my food. Fantastic! And the last cherry beer was amazing, aged in oak with cherries, the final result is the base beer is around 17 years old, great way to finish a great meal and beer. Don't miss Denmans!
I just wandered in here on a Tuesday night. The place was very quiet. I asked if they had any vegan options. They said "Well, we have salads, but we can make something for you!" And they did. It was a delicious, light, warm meal. They should add it to the menu. Potato, mushroom, avocado, eggplant, corn, broccoli, sauce and glaze. Perfection. Cheers!
Food was not good and the service was disappointing. We ordered the chicken wings and they were not cooked through and the skin was fatty rather than crispy. We asked to change the chicken but we're told they couldn't change the meal as that was how the wings came and they couldn't reuse them. Disappointed not to be offered to change the meal for something else. Would have been so easy to turn around the experience from bad to good.
Very good fish and beef for a reasonable price. We had dinner during happy hour, which ends at 6:00, and they had $5 drink specials.
Great feed and rare good beer for Airlie which seems to be Northern Lager Land. Had a good chat with the brewer and there's lots of interesting stuff in the pipeline.
