It’s a classic 3.5, 70%, if only that score were available to be awarded. This is a nice looking cafe. It’s quite large with some fancy seating at the front. It was the prospect of sitting in the arm chairs that actually drew us in here for a quick coffee. This particular Degani franchise appears to be run by very nice people. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in. The service was attentive, polite and efficient from three servers overall. And, it was accompanied by lovely smiles. My matcha latte was a pleasant one indeed. I enjoyed it. There was no attempt to hurry us on here, quite the opposite, and we sat and contemplated the world for a little. I’ve had issues with Degani outlets occasionally. They’re variable. But, this one is a good one based on our coffee stop today.
Cosy cafe with plenty of tables, good service, good coffee and yummy cakes. Recommended
Food was good, service friendly. I bought a Groupon voucher for 4 which included a small drink each - we were charged extra for the small hot drinks that were supposed to have been included in the deal. We ordered 1 each of small cappuccino, latte and hot chocolate. One small bottle of Sprite - I knew we would have to pay extra for the Sprite and that was not an issue. But in the end we were charged 50c each for coffees and hot chocolate plus $2 for Sprite. When I asked about the deal, I was told the charges were for the small hot drinks, even though they said the deal only included small drinks- which were what we had ordered. I didn't think it was worth arguing and paid. When my daughter was walking to the door, she was asked to pay for her hot chocolate. I had already crossed the road and was wondering what had taken her so long. I wasn't impressed when told she had to pay for her drink. We went back and the cashier said she hadn't realized we were sitting together and returned the money. The cafe was less than half full at around 1pm. Although mistakes could happen, I would have preferred to be told when ordering that there would be extra charges.
A cafe that has nice interior decorations, but is run with exceptionally poor customer service by greedy owners. Staff carried a nonchalant attitude in dealing with customers. Beware if dining with a coupon - this place will charge for the highest priced items, while 'using' the coupon for the cheaper items if ordering additional menu items.
Absolutely Hopeless!! We ordered specific coffees and they got our order wrong. We asked them politely if they could fix it and they told us we were in the wrong despite the correct order on the receipt. The girls were extremely rude, not apologetic at all and refused to give us our money back nor the extra coffee we had ordered. Extremely disappointed
Fantastic venue and service. A regular goer to the cafe, been meaning to write this review! I love the service and attentiveness of the barista - he knows how I like it. Meals are delicious and reasonably priced. Thanks guys!!!
Very disappointed. Service was dismal even for a cafè that only had 4 customers in it. To top of off we were overcharged and after I notified them of an incorrect value, it was changed, yet they did not change it to the correct pricing as marked on the menu after checking it. An apology and the correct price would of been appreciative, instead of assuming I I didn’t actually know the price. If it wasn’t for the chef making decent food I would not be returning.
Everytime I go down to the Camberwell Junction, I envy the place. It has a very amazing brown interior with an attractive interior. They have lived up to my expectation with the food quality, as the portions are fair unlike some restaurants/cafés
Good coffee, yummy food and a cozy atmosphere but the service was ridiculous. Always close early, toaster was switched off by 3:30pm, so no toasted croissants today ; Despite their closing hours are 7-5pm. I’ve Got my order wrong last time, not the friendliest staff except a few people. Tried a few times as it is very close to my office, very disappointing !!
The worst pie I have ever eaten. Not fit for sale and coffee very bad too. Would have awarded negative stars if possible.
