We moved from a super school Prep-Yr12 in Adelaide with 1600 students, to Deception Bay State School. We've now been here 1.5years and much prefer the smaller school set-up. Children get more one on one support and are therefore more inclined to thrive. The teachers have been encouraging and supportive in all aspects of learning. My oldest two were shy, and reluctant to participate in classroom activities at their previous school. However since being here, they have gained so much confidence. My youngest started his schooling here, and is suspected ADHD and the teachers and teachers aids have been super helpful in ensuring he is staying focused in the classroom and trying his best. High recommended Deception Bay State School.

We moved here from tassie not long ago, i was worried about my grand daughter fitting in with her autism. The school was excellent.they made her feel comfortable and welcome. She had support teachers when needed. She actually looked forward to going to school. They made her learning fun. She has come on in leaps and bounds. I fully recomend the school. Thank you
Excellent school. Moved from tassie and was worried about my daughter setteling in. She has blossemed. Teachers are great and the support staff help her when shes over whelmed with her autism. 10 out of 10nBEST SCHOOL IN THE BAY.!!!!!!
Extremely low level of education and absolutely no care for the students. Will suspend students instead of addressing the issues with the child and have a very patronising attitude towards parents. They do not provide students with books to take home for reading, so in grade 2 students can’t read or know their lefts and rights.nHave a very ‘don’t want to deal with it’ attitude yet will claim they ‘are there to help’, making it exhausting and seemingly impossible to address issues. My son was persecuted by certain staff, they would tell me one thing has happened, set consequences for that yet my son and his actual teacher would then tell me an entirely different thing happened. My vulnerable son was suspended for reacting to bullying or physical assaults on him and the students that were responsible were protected. They don’t actually let you or the child know about the suspensions either or provide any work to do at home.nThe parents don’t seem to get dressed by school pick up time or are severely obese. Students aren’t allowed to use the oval at lunchtimes.
