Tried to enrol onto a Diploma course this afternoon, the course is a follow on from the Certificate IV that I am currently studying.nUnfortunately the experience at the enrollments with TAFE Qld Staff member Vee was far from pleasant.nI was required to fill out forms to confirm the information that is already under my student file.nI moved over to the bench to fill out paperwork details that TAFE already had, while doing this a lady in TAFE Qld back came and stood almost shoulder to shoulder to me and began crunching through a packet of chips.nI became overwhelmed with this and moved to the seats in the sun to complete this paperwork.nnI was then told I needed to take a single screen shot of my TFN and details. When I tried to do this it could not be done in a single screenshot.. Oh yeah you will need two was the answer I got.nI wanted to send this by email, I was told they can't give out their personal email, I responded not your personal email, the Student Admin email.nWas then told that it would sit in the email line for some time. Also that I would have to print it off anyway.nWhen I asked why I was told its the system.nI asked why Vee couldn't print it from the sent email, I was told it was not allowed, due to privacy.nA little bit perturbed I went to the library to get the required hard copy.nWhile in the library security arrived walking into my oersonal space, as a person living with Mental Health Illness this can be very scary. This was the second time in 10 minutes this has happened, and began interjecting into the conversation I was having with the very understanding and helpful Librianian. Security continued to interject while I was trying to gain what was needed to sort my enrollment. I eventually had to stop the conversation I was having with the Librarian as the environment was becoming very overwhelming. came and informed me that I would not be able to enroll at this campus as the Admin girl would not enroll me.nI asked Security was it because I had corrected her English and grammer. No reply.nnI Returned to admin to gather the firm I had completed and leave campus.nnAs I was leaving Campus I asked the Security who was responsible for the hanging of the flags in the Library, he did not know there was falgs.nI explained where they where amd that they are hanging in the incorrect order. I explained the correct order and why it was so. I also gave him the location of the information as well as the fact that I had asked TAFE QLD Caboolture to change the order the flags were in yo the correct one going on some 12 months ago.

I'm finished my enrolled nurse course at this campus. The support and determination of the teachers and staff is excellent and fabulous. I've enjoyed every aspect of it. They've been flexible and for an online part time study excellent to manage with a fulltime job. Just keep in mind the placement hours they will hack into your private time and back account but I suppose that is worth the sacrifice when you finish, it's just expensive. This is something that is not very clear when your start the study but is definitely important for managing your finances. Apart from that excellent study if you're passionate about helping people.
I had a really disappointing experience at TAFE QLD Caboolture. As someone with a disability, I found the support lacking, and it was frustrating trying to get help. They were not good at replying to emails, and there was a lot of miscommunication. I often felt like I was going in circles without getting anywhere, which was incredibly frustrating.nnI stuck it out for a long time, thinking things would improve, but when I tried to go back for a second time, it was the worst mistake I made. The process for the certificate was unnecessarily difficult, and it made me feel overwhelmed. The lack of guidance and support really took a toll on my mental health it toke them a while to even try to get me support which should of been sorted the 1st time I enrolled not the 2nd time around and half way through the course !nnI believe that with the right support, others might find it a better learning place, but my experience was far from positive. I wouldn’t recommend TAFE QLD Caboolture to anyone who needs assistance or clear communication. It’s been a challenging journey, and I hope they can improve for future students.
Enrolled in the Diploma of nursing, after discussion with the faculty to update my cert IV in nursing, after providing the transcripts prior to enrolment, during enrolment and after enrolment, and in the field I was currently working, I didn't have any indication that either rpl or rcc would be conducted.nIt seems they will letrally just say anything to get you in the door, then ignore you and just tell you to study what you have already been deemed competent in.nnThey also mucked up my enrolment 3x, resulting in me being enrolled in the correct course nearly 6 weeks after it had started giving me only 1 week to identify the learning management system and submit assignments at the same time.nnIf you're interested in health, I definitely would not recommend TAFE Caboolture campus, I cannot speak for the other campuses but have heard positive things about Southbank.
