This shop is really a no-frills-no-thrills shop, you walk in here and find what you need without all the bells and whistles baked into the pricing. The means everything is priced reasonably and you walk away with just what you need without breaking the wallet. The service was good, had an attentive staff that took my questions and served me making sure I had everything I need.
A gem! I was visiting from interstate, so I wanted to wander the whole shop and peek at everything. The shop girl was very accommodating and helpful by letting me pile up my finds at the counter. Close proximity for an UBER trip, and worth going for the unusual trims they stocked.
Terrible customer service. Drove 45 minutes to get to the Port Melbourne store at 11am as google and the sign on the window said store opens at 11am on Sundays. I waited for 30 minutes, called the store mobile number twice no answer and the store didn’t open. Don’t advertise times if you’re not going to stick to them.
Rude staff, comoletely unhelpful and if you dont ask for a carry bag then your material is simply pushed across the counter only to be told it costs extra for bags! The material is the same as spotlight but only more expensive might want to re-think the name of the place and everything else is completely outdated and is covered in dust. Super Cheap Fabrics in smith st is actually as the name says and have a far better range with the staff highly knowledgeable with in all things fabric.. i wouldnt waste my time here again.

Always love fabric shops! But no time to sew! Apart from fabrics you can find trims like buttons, zippers, belts, etc. Friendly staff.
Lots of material, helpful, have good material specials table also braids and lace on special.
Helpful staff, a great variety of fabrics and reasonable pricing.
