This is a cute atmospheric eatery that serves authentic Chinese cuisine. There is a focus of Sichuan street food and the flavours are favourable to my palate. I like the quirky design choices that flow through to the serving ware. Service is friendly though some dishes arrive quickly and some more sporadically.
I’m visiting from the US and was in the mood for sichuan. This restaurant really hit the spot! It has such a neat vibe and the food was decently priced, delicious and came in a generous portion size. The drinks were also very creative and cute. I would definitely visit again!
This was the best experience I have ever had when it comes to not just the amazing food but also the service. We came here for my birthday dinner and the staff were amazing, they supplied us with props for photos and even sang Happy Birthday and gave us some some delicious little birthday treats. The food was absolutely amazing and everything was beyond what I expected. The Wagyu Truffle fried rice and potato dishes were incredible and I’m definitely going to be coming here on a regular basis. Thank you so much for making my birthday extra special

A Sichuan Aesthetic Dining DisappointmentnnMy recent visit to Daiki, a visually appealing Sichuan restaurant, left much to be desired. While the ambiance and decor were visually striking, the overall experience fell short. The service was average at best, and the menu prices were on the expensive side.nnOne of the main disappointments was the extensive waiting time between each dish. It became frustrating as the intervals were incredibly long, interrupting the flow of the meal and affecting the overall dining experience.nnRegarding the food, the Stir-fried Clams failed to impress. Not only were they served lukewarm, but it was also evident that frozen clams were used instead of fresh ones. This compromised the taste and texture, resulting in a lackluster dish.nnThe Pickled Ginger Bullfrog was another letdown. While it promised a combination of bullfrog, ginger, bamboo shoots, and lotus roots, the bullfrog portion was disappointingly scarce. The dish mainly consisted of an overwhelming amount of ginger, overshadowing the other ingredients.nnEven the Grilled Barramundi, which should have been a highlight, proved to be tasteless. It lacked the depth of flavors and seasoning that one would expect, leaving it quite bland and unimpressive.nnAmong the various dishes sampled, the only saving grace was the Stir-fried Cabbage. It managed to stand out with its well-balanced flavors and satisfying texture, but unfortunately, it was not enough to salvage the overall dining experience.nnConsidering the average service, the long wait times, and the underwhelming quality of most dishes, I would not recommend Daiki. While the aesthetic appeal of the restaurant is commendable, it falls short in delivering a memorable culinary experience.
