My mother moved here in 2022. It was a big decision for her, but she has absolutely no regrets. She has gained some amazing friends and enjoys being part of a friendly and inclusive community. There is no shortage of activities and it gives me peace of mind knowing she is happy. The staff are always helpful and friendly and it’s always a pleasure visiting and meeting the lovely residents along the way.
Since we moved here a month ago, we have been very impressed with Cumberland View Village. We were first impressed by the work ethic of the Sales Manager, An, who we first met when we started looking for a suitable village about two years ago. She carefully listened to our concerns, and patiently guided us through the process of acquiring and renovating our new home. We never expected the warm and caring help that the nurses gave us from our very first day here. My wife Nancy had just had an operation to her hands, and the dressings needed to be changed daily. For the first two weeks, the nurses Sheelagh or Julie attended to her every day at our unit. Their patience and professional advice are invaluable here. We have found the office staff Eva and Allison are always pleasant and helpful in dealing with our enquiries. The bus driver Brent is always friendly, and particularly good at helping residents with mobility difficulties. We are still meeting our neighbours, but so far without exception they have been friendly, welcoming and generous with their advice and suggestions. Such positive experiences as we have encountered in so short a time assure us that we have made the right decision in joining Cumberland View Village.
My husband and I moved in 3 1/2 years ago and it was definitely the best decision we made. The friendliness of the staff and residents is amazing and although we only knew 1 person when we moved in we now have many friends. With so many activities to join in with you don't need to be bored or lonely. Great watching the sunrise in the mornings.
We moved into this village to be closer to family. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff and manager have made us feel very welcome. There are plenty of activities to keep us engaged and entertained and the addition of a bus to shopping centres and medical staff on site are a bonus. There is a feeling of space with landscaped gardens throughout the large site.
I have been at Cumberland View Village since November 2015...I loved the look and feel of this Retirement Village from the start, as I had looked at others prior...This is a very caring environment, where it is actually a family atmosphere in every way..nThe grounds are always kept immaculately and offers many walks and sitting places around the gardens...The Social activities on offer are many, and you could easily fill a few or all your days ..nWe have our own Residents Committee where we get to vote on everything, including a monthly Resident's meeting, where we discuss relevant issues and vote on the outcomes...This is real freedom that gives us control over our decisions and how we WANT to live out our Retirement years.nI HIGHLY recommend Cumberland View Retirement Village to all retirees looking for a place that would fill ALL your requirements....
