Crown Metropol Melbourne

We stayed at Crown Metropol last night and it was brilliant. We loved everything about the hotel. We had dinner at Mr Hive and it was a very nice light meal, perfect for us. We had buffet breakfast there as well this morning and the food was plentiful with a wonderful variety of choices. Very nice hot plunge coffee too. The staff throughout the whole Crown complex were very friendly and certainly helpful. Smiles from everybody. It was a wonderful first time experience and one that we will definitely enjoy again in October but maybe this time for two nights! Thanks Crown for a great 24 hours.

Well appointed rooms, with great access to restaurants. Rooftop pool area did not disappoint! Service was excellent. I left my drivers license at the reception during check in and the reception team worked promptly and thoroughly locate it and return it to our room. Would stay again.

The Crown complex is fantastic and there are so many things to do there. Unfortunately the Crown Metropol was disappointing for the price we paid. The room cleanliness wasn't great, even more of a concern as we were travelling with a toddler. The shower needed a good scrub and our clothes were covered in dust when we took them off the shelf. The room was a good size though and was soundproofed. The beds were comfortable. The pool was very hectic as it was school holidays and again, the floors and windows needed a good clean. The location is really the selling point for this hotel. We were expecting more for the price we paid.

I cannot thank the staff enough. Ryan, Fiona and John helped me after a Medical incident and went above and beyond to help and make my stay comfortable. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Everything you could want. Buffet breakfast is also highly recommendedRooms: 5/5

Stayed over to catch up with the family. Reception service was inviting at the beginning when we were checking in but when we asked for service as our TV did not work and called 5 times and was promised to have someone to attending to our room to repair the error of the connection - no one actually attended. We waited and it had delayed our dinner, the children were hungry and tired. The swimming pool was beautiful and the water was clean and staff were friendly.

We went on a "staycation" to the Crown from the 20th to the 23rd of December, just before it got too crowded. Whilst it was busy, the staff were all exceptionally responsive, courteous and pleasant. The pool on L27, wasn't that busy at particular times and if you timed it well you would get a couple of deck chairs or the lounges. The coffee's, drinks and food were good too. The Christmas show wasn't as extravagant or showy as it had been the last two years, which was a little disappointing. However, the Christmas tree and the lighting was lovely. They had a Santa booth, face painting and balloon station which was nice. Our room must have been recently renovated, as you could see the patch marks on the wall and there was a corner that was particularly dusty - but nothing that made it an unpleasant experience. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis and was made up. Great for when you get back knackered from the pool, or from walking around the city. The only thing I thought was strange was that some restaurants were closed on Monday and Tuesday which is their normal practice. Given the time of year and the sheer volume of people coming through, you would have thought they would have liked the additional business, but... Overall, another great stay at the Crown Metropol.

Went here to visit friends whom stayed here recently to see their room. Good sized room. Big bed. Decent facilities. Reasonable view. Easy to access. Nice to stay as a treat.Rooms: 4/5

This place is incredible with reasonable pricing within walking distance of most places, the service was incredible with the kindest staff members, food was amazing with good sizing and it was so incredibly delicious the pool area was clean and had an incredible view, supplying with towel as well as completely items and an I pad to supply with information! Will be coming back and 10/10 suggest.

Truly one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Upon arrival we were told that breakfast was ‘complimentary’. As we had booked 3 rooms for mums anniversary, we thought this was reasonable. The rooms x3 were fully paid on arrival. The room was ok, but nothing special in my opinion. When we were checking out, we were given a complete runaround. The assistant told us that breakfast was NOT complimentary and needed to be paid. To add further angst, the assistant told us that 1 of the 3 rooms had not been paid. This created so much stress and confusion and needless to say an extremely unprofessional experience. I certainly will NOT be staying here again and would recommend you look elsewhere.

Firstly a big thanks to the GM for our bottle of champagne - a lovely thought that was much appreciated. We had trouble finding the valet parking as the Web address took us to the main Crown parking. However, once we were there, the valet was great. Both check in and out was average with the men both lacking eye contact and customer banter just doing their job vibe without interaction. Our room the Loft was great and in-room dining was always within the 30 minutes. We did however request a room tidy/top up on our second day while we were out which never happened so we had to wash glasses etc in the bathroom sink to reuse. For what we paid it was a tad disappointing service wise, but room itself had great views, comfy bed & a huge Insta-worthy bathroom!
