CrossFit Toowoomba has been such a welcoming and accommodating experience community, I was so nervous to join a new gym with different training styles and worried about my low fitness level after having babies. But the coaches are encouraging and helpful and want you to have a go all while being safe and give clear instructions on how to do all the movements well. I would recommend anyone to come along and have a go because it’s fun and you get a good sweat on!
I have attended CrossFit Toowoomba for almost 2 years along with my spouse and children 12-19yo. You will not find a better gym IMHO. I’ve trained at “gyms” since I was 16yo 47yo now. Everything from your regular 24hr gym to the muscle head types. While I’m a strongman/power lifter at heart, CrossFit challenges me mentally, physically and emotionally meaning I try not to cry from the challenge during the workout, don’t be scared though : . While I also train three days of powerlifting at World Gym in Toowoomba, all I see mostly is people doing the same machine/workout and getting the same result normally that’s no change at all. Most are uneducated at what their doing or even why their using a particular machine. That’s if you can get them to put their phone down. CrossFit Toowoomba offers you an opportunity to train properly, get a coached session EVERY workout, and get results. Every day of every week has a plan that is advertised so you can plan your weeks training. Every coach is educated on the movements and lifts of each workout. The motivation is infectious. You won’t have a drill instructor yelling at your incorrect movements but you will have an experienced coach teach you how to properly correct what you’re doing wrong or assist you to get better and improve. We have just about every age attending each day. From my 12 yo daughter to, well others that are much older than me. Age is just a number and disability is just a name. Regardless of age or disability this team is the best I’ve seen at helping people work with it. I don’t know that I’ve ever spent the time writing a critique about a company but I believe in what these guys are selling. One last thing, I work as a paramedic. Unfortunately I get to see the worst that a person can go through. I can attempt to save a life at 3pm and by the 6pm class the team at CrossFit Toowoomba are helping me deal with the trauma I’ve seen they don’t know that ; But it’s my mental health session. If you’ve never tried CrossFit give this place a shot. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Challenged and sweaty maybe. But as Yoda would say: “Every penny's worth they are young Skywalker.”
Great community and CrossFit program. Suitable for those new to CF and others looking to progress their skills. Very welcoming and inclusive from members and the coaches!!
