CrossFit is essentially a strength and conditioning program designed to get you stronger, fitter, faster, reduce body fat and build toned lean muscle. Anyone can do it! It is a fitness program that combines a wide variety of functional movements into a strength pattern or a timed or scored workout.
We use basic callisthenics, weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, running, climbing, skipping and a host of other movements! The CrossFit prescription is described as ‘Constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity’ From kids, teenagers, mums, dads, grandmas, grandpas to the emergency services, defence force and professional athletes, CrossFit is universally scalable which means every single session can be scaled to any fitness or experience level!
Coach Mase started his career in health and fitness as a personal trainer in 2008 and was introduced to CrossFit in 2010. Completed his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate in 2012 and worked as an Assistant Coach at CrossFit Equipped for 12 months before moving to Emerald, Central Queensland in 2013 as the Head Coach of CrossFit Vivid for 18 months, independently coaching 21 sessions a week for 80+ members.
Education / Qualifications include Certificate III & IV in Fitness, CrossFit Level 1 (CF-LV1) Trainer, AWF Club Weightlifting / Sports Power Coach Level 1 Licence and Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment.
