Story

Cranium is renowned by the Northern Beaches residents as the best hairdressing salon in the popular suburb of Manly, in Sydney’s Northern Beaches since 1997. As an award winning salon we have seen many changes in our clients needs during this time. Our aim is to constantly improve our service and standard of hairdressing, we will go everywhere to find out the best ways to do what we do so we can wow our clients.

Part of our commitment to you is providing the best most conditioning services, with that in mind we use Schwarzkopf Professional Colours. For our in-salon and take home hair care we use and recommend Kerastase, Oribe and Kevin Murphy.

We also stock Cloud Nine irons and Tangle Teasers and a variety or other brushes.

Our primary focus is to get your hair into the best possible condition so that it's easier for you to manage at home and your colours last longer.

I moved to Manly recently and wanted to find a new hairdresser. I went to Cranium Hair and would highly recommend their service. I needed help with the process of growing out/covering up my balayage. The staff were super lovely and welcoming from great coffee to fun conversations.  Dee was the stylist who worked on my hair, she is very talented and skilled—implementing perfectly what I wanted into the final product. She was also very focused to detail in getting all split ends without loosing length.

I am really glad to finally have my hair done after lockdown. The service was really great and the staff was friendly and professional. The massage you get while your hair is re washed is so good thank you this amazing seat. The place I nice, bright and full of space so you feel relaxed.

I was looking for a blow dry and style for my 32nd birthday and cranium not only gave me the exact hair I wanted but also made me feel like a queen because it was my birthday. They were so attentive, professional and sat with me for a chat it was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a salon. They made sure I was happy with my hair before I left as well. Not sure what happened at my appt several months ago but as I’m looking for another salon was reminded but it was a bit of a mess… I went in for a cut to have a few inches taken off but somehow in the wash my hair got so tangled the rest of the appointment was downhill. The brushing afterwards was very uncomfortable and that’s partly due to me being tender headed and the number of knots but also the commentary on how it’s my hair that’s the problem and how I need to use better products was shocking. I’ve never had this issue with others washing my hair before so I found the targeted comments a bit much. Also, I get the whole booking system where multiple people come in at one time for a stylist to maximise their time but for a cut I found that kind of weird because it’s not really a long thing, there’s no colour setting or anything. The time spent between each step waiting was annoying. Anyway, the drinks and snacks were cool and the cut was fine ultimately but the process was not fun. I know, not the usual review here, but nonetheless my experience.Services:&nbsp;Blowdry

Best hair salon in Sydney! Absolutely LOVE my first balayage and cut. Staff are hair colour experts very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Belinda and her team are so friendly you are immediately put at ease to enjoy a truly indulgent hair experience - complete with yummy champagne! Mel is an incredible stylist! Both for colour and cut. Love the vibe and luxe feels here. You can even enjoy a glass of bubbly while you get pampered.
