Story

The Cradle Coast Authority is a team of dedicated people who are passionate about the future of Tasmania's beautiful and amazingly diverse North West region. We call pristine rainforests, clear blue beaches and large tracts of fertile farming land our backyard. We work to protect, advocate and plan for the economic, environmental and community health and wealth of this region made up of nine Local Government Councils. (Burnie, Central Coast, Circular Head, Devonport, Kentish, King Island, Latrobe, Waratah/Wynyard, West Coast). We focus on three key areas of Economic Development, Natural Resource Management and Tourism.

Mission

The Cradle Coast Authority is established by the nine Local Government Councils of North West Tasmania to represent and advocate the needs of the region. The Authority collaborates and facilitates a diverse range of projects and initiatives involving all tiers of government, industry and the community. Our three areas of focus are Regional Economic Development, Natural Resource Management and Tourism. The long-term sustainability and future prosperity of the region is at the heart of everything we do.
