I recently bought a Honda Fit hybrid from them and I’m super happy! First I went there to have a look and was greeted by Jay who invited me in the shop to have a look on the options and chat about what I was looking for. I came back a week later and did a few test drives and decided on the Fit! Had a great experience and was well looked after, they even lent me a car to use for a few days until they could have the Fit ready for me. Highly recommend!
I have purchased a 2015 bmw f20 msport from their alicetown yard and have been very happy. Eduardo salesman have high standards of detail and knowledge of the vehicles they have in their inventory and thorough explanation with the couple of cars I decided to test drive before settling in purchasing the msport. He was happy to get me to test drive their cars that I was highly interested in with no hesitations from him which is always a positive thing I would highy recommend seeing Eduardo if you ever decide to browse or look into purchasing a vehicle from coventry cars Thank you to Bruce and to his team for all the effort and upmost customer service expectation.
I recently purchased my car through Coventry cars. I had a few small issues radio and a light bulb to be replaced. They fixed them immediately and they were always helpful and friendly. I’m very happy with the experience I had with Coventry cars Shane in particular and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone.

Recently bought a used leaf from Coventry cars and it only came with one key and no floor mats which is frustrating considering the price we paid for the car. Was also given to us with flat tyres. Would buy somewhere else next time
I am writing this review in hopes to provide better insight from a customer's point of view before purchasing a vehicle from Coventry Cars. While dealers can provide comments on reviews, this is going to reflect our honest experience of dealing with Coventry Cars and is not going to be a short review. We were interested in trading in our brand new - NZ new 2021 Kia Rio for an NZ new 2013 Mercedez Benz A200. Coventry Cars had given us a good trade-in price and had upped that price when we had told them that we received a better offer elsewhere. The customer service on and off the yard was great, Anthony the Manager was very accommodating and helpful even on his off day to organize a second test drive before we were to seal the deal. I contacted Mercedez Benz Gazley and was told by a mechanic that these A classes have alternating 'A' and 'B' services either done every 20 000 kms or every year - whichever comes first. Being an NZ NEW vehicle, there was no service history. The vehicle is currently due for its B service as the 'B service' overdue message is still on screen but we were told that the B service was done and that the service reminder was not cleared. We asked for the service history to be traced as this would give us the 'customer' peace of mind - we were only given the name of the shop where it was last serviced. After digging up and multiple phone calls that we had to make we found that the vehicle had only had its most recent service A service in December 2021. This means that its yearly 'B' service is overdue by a month December 2022. We were told that the vehicle was serviced because there was clean oil that could be seen, not quite promising at all. Therefore this vehicle was being sold to us with an overdue service which doesn't make sense as the owner of Coventry Cars said himself that every vehicle is serviced before they sell it. We then called Anthony to inform him that we were uncomfortable going ahead with the sale as we feel that we've been misled by the information we've been given and that things seem like it is up in the air in terms of records on that vehicle. We thanked him for his great customer service and assistance with this sale nonetheless. Called Bruce the OWNER of Coventry Cars to relay our customer service experience that we've received during the potential sale. The purpose of the call was to contact someone of higher authority to inform them of these inconsistencies so that they could be remedied for its next buyer if it were to sell. While speaking to Bruce about the situation in a calm and professional manner, the call escalated rather aggressively from the owner where we were pinned with many questions as if we had done something wrong. Bruce had said to us that we can either take or leave the car and they would still be fine with that. He mentioned that they have given us what we wanted and that we are asking for more than what other customers would ask for. Yet, all we spoke about was the inconsistencies of the information we were given and the trouble that we as customers had to go through to source all this information which should be readily available by the dealership, especially for an NZ new vehicle. Being the face of the business, he showed arrogance and zero professionality over the phone - HUGE TURN-OFF. This review is about our overall customer experience, especially after the rude behavior he presented over the phone, and was told by him that it's not fair to write a 'negative' review based on the phone call. Sorry mate, but you should have kept your cool as any other professional would do. We purchased from Coventry Cars before with Jay and the service was exceptional. Just went sour this time around, and for what? All because a customer wants to thoroughly inform you about a vehicle to have peace of mind before making a purchase? Dishonest sales people. Customer care ends as soon as the transaction is completed. Wasted my time with all the multiple trips to fix the issues with the vehicle which resulted in nothing.
We purchased our first electric car from Coventry Cars after searching the country and prepared to go anywhere to make sure we purchased a good Leaf. We couldn’t be more happy with the service from the time we walked into the yard. The sales people were not pushy and gave us time to look around. From the full English manual, to the internal English stickers and conversion it was amazing. Our sales person Anthony Blanche was amazing.
Good service from staff. Reasonable finance available. Most, if not all, cars appeared to be Japanese imports.
I bought a car from Coventry Cars 3 months ago and have only just found time to write this review as I've been enjoying my car waaay too much As soon as I walked into the yard I was greeted with a warm smile from Jay Mika. He was amazing to deal with, answered all of my questions no matter how dumb they were, and went the extra mile by dropping off my car to Kapiti Coast so I wouldn't have to travel back to the Hutt. I highly recommend Jay if you need assistance purchasing a vehicle.
