We have nothing but praise. We bought our car from them and they have been fantastic with the service component. Every service has come in on quote and in good time. The car had an issue after one year, and the dealership fixed the issue with out any issues - no leading questions that they could use to disqualify the claim. They simply accepted the issue and fixed it immediately. We will continue to return for our future services.
Charged $880 for wrong repair. Mentioned specific repair required, was told it wasn’t the issue. Car broke down again 250km later and Taupo Ford are fixing the actual issue. Wouldn’t recommend for repair.
Nice enough people but easily one of the most useless mechanical repair outfits you could ever come across. Could not diagnose that a problem was actually a total clutch failure. Then decided a fuel filter needed replacing. Ordered the wrong one, tried for 40 minutes to jam a clearly entirely different filter into a housing. Tried to charge me freight on the incorrectly ordered part. Eventually I got my own correct filter, which they did not fit correctly either and it needed to be later refitted by someone who did know what they were doing. Didn't have any knowledge about the fault I originally brought it in for which was auto switch manual transmission issues. Eventually I had to have my vehicle transported out of there they were that useless. Later, I needed them for Ford specific software. It took 3 days to reply. They promised they'd be in touch the next day, have still not heard over a week later. Definitely just brand guys, charging $150 an hour for poor skills and knowledge. Support local guys that do work hard and know what they are doing instead of these guys who are just cashing in on the Ford brand.
I have to say Capital city Ford has only ever given me fantastic service! I especially have to give the service manager Dan Wynyard a big thanks for his exceptional service. He went above and beyond to help me with my Mustang and personally kept me up to date along the way. His advice no doubt saved me some money and headaches in the future. I highly recommend Capital city ford.
Wonderful service! The staff went out of their way to get our Ford motorhome back on the road in time for us to enjoy our holiday!
Really disappointed with the service here. Car needed a job doing that only Ford could do. Short story, dropped car off on a Monday and requested an estimate, advised no work to be started without an estimate. After us trying to contact them on Wednesday and Thursday as hadn't heard anything and they hadn't returned any calls, they finally answered the phone and said they couldn't provide us an estimate until Friday morning. Turn up on Friday morning and they had already started the work!! Still without providing an estimate. No explanation from them other than that it was a communication error. The car has also come back with a new fault that wasn't there when the car was dropped in... very unimpressed with the whole situation.
Took the car in for a WOF and ask them to check the radiator fan since the car was overheating. They instead checked the air conditioning coolant and said it needed recharging and that's why the car was overheating. That's patently wrong and we had to get the Foreman to explain the situation. Being Christmas Eve they couldn't do anything else and so we had to rebook the car in January. Any competent mechanic would know that a radiator fan not working is not really related to there being insufficient air conditioning coolant in the system. And this was a Ford fiesta taken to a Ford dealer.
Went there to get a battery for my key didn't have any trouble, very helpful they even showed me how to install it
