A great place to have a picnic with BBQ s, and covered eating areas available. Very popular on weekends so get in early.
A modern representation of the usually traditional style Anzac day Cenotaph monument, set in a well designed, park setting on the Maroochydore shorefront. A very eye catching, and tastefully created homage to Australia's fallen throughout the many years, up to the present.
It would be even better if people would utilise the many bins supplied. As a metal detectorist it is disheartening to find so many ring pulls, bottle tops, and cans left behind by pigs.
It was a moving day, being Anzac day, and working with SES, God bless and honor to all service men and women who served past and present
This is a very spiritual place, a place that will make you reflect on past history, a place that is not only peaceful but very beautiful. It is well worth a visit.
