Cornell's Fresh Seafood

The girl who served us was very friendly and helpful which was nice, but unfortunately the food was pretty average. We decided on menu items that are apparently not on offer during ‘busy school holiday’ periods which is when you would expect they would make most of their money, (nothing alerts you to 50% of the menu not being available till you order). Chips and potato cakes were uncooked in the middle. Seriously undersized fish servings for the price. At least the outdoor seating area is nice.

Expensive food with absolutely terrible service. We were told our order would take 30 minutes to prepare however we ended up waiting well over an hour for it. The staff here are very inefficient. This is by far the worst manged fish and chip shop I have ever visited. They simply cannot handle more than 1 order at a time. Furthermore, it seems that regular local customers get special preferential treatment which is a terrible business practice when there are thousands of tourists visiting the area all the time. Would never go back there. Plenty of much better options in the area.

Disappointing. Really lovely interior and nice Beach Style outdoors area. No washroom though. It's as if they want you to pick up and leave and not stay. I'm not sure but I would have expected a lavatory available in a place where you can have a sit down meal. Nice range of food, beer and wine but the quality / quantity to cost ratio also needs to be considered.

Their seafood was superb clean & fresh. U wont regret it. Abit not so happy about, they r not really into serving service if u r expecting.. Its self service ya..

I had the Kahuna burger and it was tasty and fresh, the rest of the group had fish and chips and South Melbourne dim sim's which were great. Over the summer do be prepared to order early and wait - they get extremely busy and you may wait 2 hours at peak periods due to the volume of orders they are attempting to get through. Everywhere is busy at this time so relax, enjoy a $5 beer or two and enjoy your food when it's ready.
