First and foremost the food is great. The Samosas, Rogan josh, Madras, and rice was all fantastic, fresh and flavoursome. The Lamb falls apart with a spoon. The service was friendly and the prices reasonable. I do think the decor and general appearance need work. I almost walked out at the sight of the interior. However the aroma of the food kept me in and both my family and I are glad we stayed. We walked out absolutely stuffed and satisfied.
Awesome Indian food. I always order Biryani from this place, Great test, great quantity with great service. Staff name Pranjali is always very humble and with qualitative service. I totally appreciate her efforts for the work, best of luck for the future. Great customer service gives great business.
Tried this place out on a quiet Monday, not expecting much, but it was delicious! Curries were cooked fresh, not too heavy but still think and flavourful. Cute menu and great range of appetisers. We'll be back!
I wanted to buy dinner to my friends with families, booked a table for 5 adults and requested for 2 high chairs for babies. It was confirmed. After reaching there, I was told there is no high chair but if we wait they can arrange for one. We requested for at least one as there was an infant in our group. We ordered some mocktails from the menu which after a long time we got to know was delayed as the lady who went to bring high chairs from somewhere was the only one who could have made mocktails. When she came back we were told mocktails are not available. We ordered replacement drinks and ordered our meals. After long time of waiting one main dish arrived, which we clarified we had not ordered. The dish was served to us for free. Good gesture!!! Having my vegetarian dishes malai kofta, paneer tikka we found paneer tikka was a bit salty and same was conveyed politely to the host who asked how the food was. She asked if she can replace it and we said it is just a feedback as we were already done eating most of the stuff and didnt want to wait for another dish to be cooked and served, as it was taking long time. After mains, We ordered two types of desserts Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai from the menu on which suddenly the lady in the kitchen who was in the kitchen and went out for high chairs came out charging and telling us they cant make Ras malai. We replaced that with Gulab Jamun, but when they arrived they had only one piece in each plate as opposed to 2 as was described in Menu. We ate it silently as we had already spent a long time in that place and wanted to wrap that night up quickly. But at the time of payment, the Desserts were charged in full. This I realized only after going home and looking at receipt in detail. I called the restaurant and just wanted to know why I had been overcharged and give my overall feedback but that became a long phone call with the lady trying to put all blame on us for not ordering a replacement meal. There was no point trying to talk sense with her as anything I would say was taken negatively. I just gave my bank account number the next day and got my money back for additional payment, but decided to let people know about my experience.
Order was messed up after a 1.5hr delivery wait. When we called for an explanation we were given a half-assed apology claiming they were "out" of what we ordered; there was no phone call to discuss an alternative option or to offer a refund for that particular item, we paid for and were just given something we didn't want. We were offered a discount on our next order but no attempt was made to obtain our contact details so we could claim said discount. Absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service received; after being a regular customer we will never be ordering from here again.
Thank You Coriander Leaf The Indian Lounge for coming into being! Damn..where do i start from?!...The food-Perfectly flawless! The ambience-Impeccable! The Customer Service-Simply Brilliant! One of my favorite dishes at Coriander Leaf, which has now become a part of my everyday menu is their outstanding Tandoori Chicken. Moreover, one of their best entrees are the must-try Golden Fried Prawns...mmmm..omg just thinking about them makes my mouth water and ofcourse their Paneer Tikka for my veggies out there! :P Although every delicacy served in this restaurant is unique and yummy in it's own way, I shall list down some of my favorites for you guys to try out ! 1. Goan Fish Curry Available in Prawns too but this one's my personal favorite-Dayumm! Trust me I've been to Goa but Coriander Leaf definitely does it better anyday! 2. Tandoori Chicken Masala- This one was obvious as I'm a great fan of tandoori chicken. 3. Psshhh..this list is endless. Lastly, Craving dessert? They have it all, be it the desi touch of Gulab jamuns or the very unique 4-deck fruit custard kinda thing. But do try one of my personal favorite..RASMALAI!!! uh! who doesn't like rasmalai! Agreed their prices might be a bit higher than your usual Indian restaurants but Excuse me??..you definitely have some real good quality desi food coming your way here, rather than those ugly blocks of chicken dipped in tomato-cardamom gravy made of the shittiest quality cream and given the name of "Butter Chicken". NO NO NO! I'd rather spend a dollar more at Coriander Leaf for something better than ordinary...something that's extraordinary! : Kudos to the Coriander Leaf Team!..Keep it up guys!..You're doing a great job! :
They make absolutely beautiful chicken korma here. Very reasonably priced food and everything always tastes fresh. They’re never too busy so orders always come quickly.
Very disappointing. I ordered 2x butter chickens, 1mild and 1 medium.. Both had no flavour, yeah medium was hot but still no flavour with not much chicken in very small pieces. Garlic naan was very dry and ordinary.
If you change your trading hours you must change the time on Google as well. People always get confused with your timmings as no one pick up the call on given trading hoursYour food is most of the time good but sometimes not tasty. You guys need to change your receptionist or who so ever picks the phone pathetic with communication skill some random girl. Need to pick the phone call within 10-15 sec.
In my opinion best indian restaurant in Melbourne. Best curry Tandoori chicken Authentic indian flavour and taste. Worth every penny.
