I would like to share my positive experience with Jon and Gavin at Southport Motor Company, I must admit I was a little sceptical in using an independent dealer, I have always bought from franchised dealers as the approved used dealer warranty is second to none,  my car purchase was easy and Jon responses by e mail and pics to questions asked about the car.  On collection the car was as described prepared to a high level, Jon also very kindly took it to a main dealer for the scheduled service and warranty inspection, Jon asked me to contribute and I was happy too do so.  Both Jon and Gavin are obviously car enthusiasts and it was nice to chat about our shared interest.  On my journey home I noticed  a brake vibration, called Jon and he said take it to an independent service centre and he would sort out the payment, I insisted it go to a franchised dealer, this was more expensive and again Jon asked if I was happy to contribute, yes I was, Jon promptly settled the account and I collected my car paying the difference.  Jon and Gavin offered a level of customer care/experience that most franchised dealer can only dream about, I have no problem recommending them as a top car dealer, as I found out Jon is happy to sort out issues and when I insisted on a franchised repair he was more than fair.  There is one issue that needs addressing, Jon you need to get a coffee machine Lol.  David

Here we go again, 3 years ago I bought a BMW X5 from these guys, I had a great, fantastic and smooth experience with them and today I have picked up my Range Rover Vogue, it drove like a dream, Gavin and Ron are just lovely, professional guys that knows what they are talking about when it comes to cars and their experience is second to none. I will also like to mention their detailing guy that did the ceramic coating, what a brilliant job he did. Bunch of good guys I will say and will highly recommend them, see you in future.

Purchased a Mercedes GLA AMG Line Premium Plus and I'm absolutely delighted with my experience. Gavin was helpful throughout the entirety of the process and answered any questions I had. Purchasing a car without seeing it in person or test driving is stressful but the car was in pristine condition as advertised and was delivered by the date I needed it. 5 star dealership without doubt.

I have been buying cars from Southport motor company for the past 5/6 years. In total I have bought 9 vehicles. I keep returning to Jon because I trust him completely. If a problem arises, it is resolved to my satisfaction. We have just purchased an Evoque that we have not seen in person yet, because of the faith we have in Jon, he ensures he knows his what his customers want. Thanks for all your sterling service even under very extraordinary circumstances.

Jon runs a tight ship at SMC. I have used Jon for years when purchasing cars. Jon always finds the car and specification that I am looking for and better still at the best price. I totally trust Jon and his team and highly recommend the team at SMC. Their integrity is beyond reproach.

Absolute amazing service from these guys, John is a legend every step of the way keeps intouch. Buying a truck  260 miles away and it was like buying it from a local garage. 10/10 customer 10/10 for quality of vehicle. Guys who delivered the truck are a credit to the company.

Buying our Cayenne in Southport Motor Company is definitely a wonderful and smooth experience and most of it credited to Gavin, the salesperson who take care of the whole buying process for us. Gavin is very professional, friendly and trustworthy, before we came to view the car, the online communication with him was very smooth, and his videos taken were very informative and professional and he was also very patient to answer our questions.  The car was in great condition when we came to view it, we can see that SMC and Gavin has taken very good care of the car, Gavin also always make sure the car is spotless, when we need them to fix some tiny problems of the car, Gavin was in it immediately and has his very competent team members to fix them and give a flawless result in a short period of time.  We are 100% satisfied with this shopping experience and would highly recommend to all car buyers.

Would have no hesitation in recommending Southport  Motor Company. I’ve bought my last 3 cars from Jon and Gavin and have been delighted every time by the service. Trust them implicitly to find the car that I want at the best price. Recently traded in my A6 Avant which  I bought from them 6 years ago and was loathe to get rid of but got me a great deal on an X3 30d which I absolutely love! Little things make a difference…picked the car up and Jon inspected it with me and made sure every last inch of the car was impeccably presented. Went to great lengths to make sure I was happy before driving away and did me a brilliant deal on a lifetime warranty. Buying a second hand car can be a minefield but these guys go the extra mile to make things simple and will not let you down in my experience.

What a straightforward and enjoyable car buying experience!  All done without me leaving home.  Jon made sure all questions were answered and also carried out a long video check of the car with me, nothing was too much trouble.  Phil delivered the car and again the handover process was first class.  I’d fully recommend these guys to anyone.  Many thanks again.

I do not normally do reviews but I wanted to do one for this company as they went the extra mile in trying find a car for me that would fit my spec.  They were not pushy, they were knowledgeable and extremely helpful.  They made the experience a most enjoyable one.  I did not in the end purchase a car from them as I had a change in direction - but I will keep in touch and I just wanted to recommend them to anybody who is considering buying from them  I know they will look after you all the way.  Thanks guys and sorry we were unable to do a deal this time - but I will come back to you.  Adam
