This has been one of the most distressing experiences our family has ever faced. We are simply trying to access funds from our deceased father's account, yet we have been repeatedly given conflicting information and have encountered unnecessary delays throughout the process.nnWhat should have been a time for our family to focus on grieving and remembering our father has instead become a prolonged battle with the bank. We feel misled, frustrated, and exhausted by the lack of clear communication and support.nnDuring a very difficult period, we expected empathy, understanding, and accurate guidance. Instead, we have felt dismissed and forced to continually chase answers. The handling of our father's account has added significant stress to an already painful situation.nnWe urge the bank to improve its treatment of bereaved families and ensure that staff provide clear, consistent information during such sensitive circumstances.nMy family and I have been deeply disappointed by our experience with Commonwealth Bank while dealing with our late father's estate.nnNEW POST 12/06/26nnTo make matters worse, we have just received another upsetting phone call from the bank only minutes ago. Rather than feeling supported, we feel as though we are being put through an endless process without clear answers. It is incredibly distressing to be dealing with this while grieving the loss of our father.nnWe understand that banks have procedures that must be followed, but there also needs to be compassion and respect for families during these situations. At times it feels as though the bank holds all the power, while customers are left struggling to navigate a process that should be handled with far greater care and understanding.nnWe are simply trying to have our late father's funds released and his estate settled. We went through Comm Bank Cranbourne just on an off chance of getting a mortgage for our land and build. I spoke with Harsh for 15 minutes and he told me what I needed to do and get for the mortgage. This was all sorted in the quickest time and Harsh kept us updated at every turn. We could not be happier with the service provided to us and would recommend Harsh in Commonwealth Back to anyone... Wanted to swap coins for notes. Can't be done anymore. I'd have to put it into my account then withdraw it. I don't want it in my account. What has happened to banks. They aren't there to be helpful anymore. I thought this would have been an easy thing.
