Currently travelling from the UK and couldn't believe the experience we had in the Cairns branch. Firstly we tried calling multiple times throughout the day and got no answers. When first entering the branch you've got to go into a initial queue which takes ages to get through to get to what you actually want. We got told to come back the next day because the queue was so big whilst the store was still open for another 3 hours. We came back the next day to open our bank accounts. We had to wait an hour to do so which is fine; happy to wait that time. My partner got seen to which took another half hour or so and then all the staff disappeared. I was next in line and had to wait another hour to be seen to. I asked how long until I could be seen to and there was a lot of confusion but a lovely lady went out of her way to open my account for me. It seems ridiculous that you're unable to send a bank card to another branch for you to pick up. When questioning this and making general reference to the fact that this is possible in England, I got a very aggressive, loud and rude response from a staff member, her name starting with C, she said "well we aren't in England are we, we're in Australia" in a very condescending tone in answer to a general question. Members of staff in the branch were chewing gum and not dressed very formally. I'm sure a lot of people feel like a inconvenience when they walk into that branch instead of customers. Just overall a very poor experience. Thank you to the lady that served me; prevented me from going to a different bank.
Had a seamless experience setting up a new bank account here with my partner. Staff were really quick and attentive to getting all our info together and answered any questions we had. Really good experience here!
Nothing but the great experience over the ears. From home loans, accounts, packages, customer services second to none. Even got great assistance from comm bank when my card got hacked overseas. I got nothing less than 5 stars to give
Dont use these fkheads atms... came for a holiday to cairns.. the first day i tried to withdraw money from this piece of sht machine and it swallows my card for no reason, leaving me completley fkd with no money untill i go all the way back down to the branch to try and retrieve my card at a cost of $60 each way for a taxi... thanks for ruining my holiday commonwealth bank. Good job Bunch of c*nts

we had to open a bank account and, I think she was called christine, was super helpful and friendly. Great experience!
When is the bank going to ever fix the coin deposit at your branches. It's disgusting and so frustrating commonwealth bank are hopeless

I Have been calling them since they have opened and still nothing it's now 1.30pm it shows how useless these people are they sit behind a desk and can't answer a phone call left them a message to get back still nothing what a joke
Called 7 times over the last 7 days and always went to voice mail, they claim to call you back but it never happens. normal people cant make it in to their extremely limited business hours
