I stayed here a few months ago now and my stay was really comfortable. I arrived late and the hosts were extremely understanding. The room was immaculately clean and the room didn’t require any maintenance. There was a back door to my room with a lovely grassed area which would be a really safe place for the kids to run around or for you to just chill.

We had a lovely comfortable quiet night on our visit. Impeccable cleanliness and wonderful linen on our bed. Would recommend  and also stay again.  Alison and Michael Morris

Is there such a thing as no stars? 

This is by far the worst motel I have rented. I'll be fair. The facilities were really nice.  And the spa and the pool was a nice touch. We had a large group, so I can understand the owners having a hard time managing our bookings. However...they should be used to scenarios like this. At every turn, the owners would be condescending and treat us like we were 12. We paid for a room with three beds, which ended up being two for some reason when the owners decided to lock up the fold out couch.  So what was a nice comfortable sleep turned to be an experience in solitary confinement for me. I woke up genuinely thinking that I was in a prison. Not very nice guys. Room service was a lesson in how not to do hospitality. I asked the cleaners multiple times to vaccum the room and even after my third attempt the room was still dirty. My next stay in Tauranga will definitely be elsewhere.
