This place was a great little fish and chipper when we moved into the area 6 years ago! Unfortunately it has just changed owners for the third time since then and has gone down hill. After getting home with our order tonight we found soggy chips and potato cakes and I'm talking soggy!! How the fish wasn't soggy I'm not sure. We rang and they asked me to bring them back and they'd cook fresh ones, so I did. However on returning to the shop all they wanted to do was defend themselves and argue with me! They eventually cooked fresh chips and potato cakes which were ok in the end. They tried arguing more and threw in a couple of smart arse comments as I tried to walk out. Won't be going back, not worth it!
We ordered $10 worth of chips, and 10 nuggets. When we finally opened it up, the tub was 3/4 full, maybe $4-$5 worth of chips AT BEST. The guy was also charging $1.30 PER NUGGET. Absolute joke, won’t be returning there ever again. Go elsewhere!
Used to be really good food however chips and potato cakes are soggy and yuck. Called to let them know and they asked us to bring the food back where they argued that it was normal. Didn’t want to recook fresh chips as they said food goes soggy within 5 mins of being wrapped up. New food cooked was crunchy and hot and nice. All in all soggy food and rude staff! Will not go back.
Ordered chicken kebabs with cooked onions and 5 potatoe cakes not impressed it was just dripping of oil that had to throw it out,next day I felt sick because of the dripping oil. NOT IMPRESSED NEVER AGAIN
Food was delicious, bit poor charging 50 cent for eftpos. Another fish and chip avoiding taxes by wanting cashFood: 5/5
Very clean shop with friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the family pack. The fish and potato cakes were the highlight and quite delicious but the chips were a little soggy and lacking crunch
Good food that's not greasy. They're not open on Tuesdays, but have a decent selection of classic F&C items.
Totally dropped the ball with Souvlaki, soggy bread chewy meat. Once the best Souvlaki in Kilsyth. Now they should drop it from their menu. Maybe there other stuff is good. Avoid Souvlaki
28 June. Threw out our orange potatoe cakes. Here is a grilled fish that resembles a pancake. Avoid. Especially Mondays when there is a really moody girl behind the counter.
Not very generous with their servings of chips..potato cakes ect...disappointed
