Served by Sarah at the customer service desk after waiting for her slow stroll to arrive, stopping along the way to chat to various staff members. She was downright rude and obnoxious.
First time and last time. Self-serve lady was rude. She wanted me to scan the 12 pk of water first. I said when I get to it. It was on the bottom. She pushed past to get to the scanner. Said she has done it for me. She was more concerned about me scanning water than the two ladies she knew, next to me. That stole two beach bags worth of stock from the health and beauty aisle that i saw.. They did not scan that stock at the register next to me. Coles might want to check staff and their friends on what they are buying, then making customers feel like criminals who haven't even finished scanning everything. Go to Woolworth.
A few empty shelves but everything we needed. We frequented Coles while we were holidaying down the road. Every time we had the nicest check out lady. Great friendly helpful service. NZ could take a leaf out of their book for service that's for sure.
On August 14th We arrived in Mooloolaba late afternoon. We then shopped at Coles, Mooloolaba Central, Venning St. Everyone was great as always, except for 2 employees at the exit.nBecause our self-service checkout was causing problems, I spoke to an employee. She couldn't get the problem under control, but she kept talking to my son. I tapped her and explained that my son couldn't understand her because he was deaf.nShe turned to me and said very loudly and rudely that I shouldn't touch her. She also immediately grabbed her radio and called for help! Because no one helped me at the self-service checkout, we went to a checkout with a cashier. She had heard the other employee's cry for help and spoke to her colleague about us in a very unfriendly way over the radio.nShe acted like we were pickpockets, bank robbers or something similar.nCole is good, but employees with problems with customers don't belong at the cash registers.
Rudest customer service from an individual that goes by the name “Amelia” or something of the sort. Walked into Cole’s with a friend the other night when it was pretty quiet, and out of no where she barged through the middle of us with a sour look on her face which then my friend and I looked at each other confused and laughed off how rude and random it was, but we continued our shop. We then got to the self check outs to find her SITTING on a register instead of standing up professionally, she also had a horrible look on her face towards the customers. We scanned an item and the screen stated that we needed to seek employee help which we didn’t want to do as she was completely unapproachable and rude. We moved registers as we were in a rush and the machine says the same thing as the other, which then she comes over and says in a horrible tone “you know moving registers isn’t going to fix the problem right” my friend and I were completely taken a back from this as she is an EMPLOYEE and it’s disgustingly unprofessional. In what world do you say that to a customer at your place of employment, I don’t know if she knows but not everything you think in your head needs to be said out loud. I then reply with “I know it doesn’t change anything but when you’re sitting there on a register with that look on your face you don’t look to approachable” I don’t understand why Cole’s has hired a person for a customer service role who doesn’t know basic customer service and I know for a fact this isn’t the first complaint that has been made about her as I have many friends who have had around the same experiences with this particular person.
