Fed up with Woolworths ripping us off on everyday items, we thought we'd try Coles.nWe entered the Store at Kingston to see so many items on sale, half the price of Woolies. This was fabulous to see, more so when your on a budget.nI asked one of the Ladies pushing those online shopping carts where something was & I received good old fashioned customer service & she followed up with me when she noticed I was a bit lost in another Isle. What a treasure, I wish I had gotten her name as she needs to be applauded.nWe loved what we saw in the store but it was let down at the checkout by Matthew. He was rude, refused to help me pack my bags, he just threw them at the end of the counter & said it was his choice to help pack or not & he said he refuses. Oh my goodness what a letdown after such a fabulous experience prior. That young man, needs an education on, well everything really. He was truly awful. My husband wanted to call the manager but we're an older couple & don't like that sort of confrontation. If he doesn't like his job or customer service, perhaps he needs to find a new one.nAs a longtime Woolies customer, this is only the 2nd time I have ever shopped in a Coles Store.nIf you can keep your prices in check & give that good old fashioned customer service like what that online shopping staff member did I'm sure more ex woolies customers will venture across.
This morning, I went to 10:10 am Kingston Close to check out, but I noticed there was a pricing issue. I asked a staff member to check, but after waiting for quite a while with no response and being in a rush, I decided not to buy the item. Only then did other price check staff slowly walk over. The female staff member didn’t even offer an apology and had a “take it or leave it” attitude. I guess that’s what you shopping from a big company.
This store does a lot of online shopping. Isles are often blocked like this and shopping is often interrupted by these trolleys. Not uncommon not to be able to reach the product you're looking for with one of these blocking the way. I've tried different times of day... makes no difference.
Coles in Kingston gets the job done but doesn’t stand out. The store has a decent selection of essentials, and it’s convenient for a quick shop, but it doesn’t always feel as organized or well-stocked as it could be. While the staff are generally friendly, the overall shopping experience can be hit or miss, especially during busy times. It’s fine for basics, but it doesn’t quite match the standard of other supermarkets in the area. A solid 3 stars.
Every time I go to this coles there is a problem they are so rude specially the big boned old round lady that is mostly at the self-checkout counter and they don't honour their half price online specials will never go back there again
