On a Sunday afternoon in the quiet, leafy streets of Armadale, we visited this bright and airy corner café opposite Armadale Station. There was a substantial menu offering standard fare and some interesting additions. It wasn't long before our orders began arriving. My Poke Bowl with citrus cured salmon was fresh, wholesome and filled with nutritious superfoods. It hit the spot but was light and sweet, firm and soft in texture, so delicious to Chirashi and Sashimi fans. My friends also enjoyed their Eggs Benedict, Ora King Salmon Omelette, Pulled Lamb and Jerk Chicken Salad. Every dish was so clean with no morsels left behind! A family run business, the owner was friendly and happy to have a chat. The rating reflects that they were sweeping and mopping the floor around us an hour before they were due to close. Overall, it was a good experience that felt like we were visiting a neighbourhood gem.
Was one of my usual to go for my pulled pork Benny pre lockdowns. Not sure when it changed hands and it didn't go well. Was seated and asked a few times for the menu then then all I could do an stare at the dish.. it was soaked in Kimchi pork was more of porkbelly in oil. Sorry I'll just go down the road from now or cook at home. Quality is no longer there.
I really nice, quiet spot to have a great bite to eat, away from the noise of High Street. I didn't want a fancy wine bar, I was after a real down to earth place. And I found it. The meals were delightful, the coffee was excellent, and the team there were very friendly. What a great find.Food: 5/5
Stumbled upon this cute little cafe, coffee was good as was the pastry, but the service and price was excellent.
Beautiful neighbourhood cafe with just pure good food and friendly staff. Went here on the weekend and the queue is manageable and the food we order is humble and delicious. Coin Laundry breakfast: Great dish with all of the classics. Chilli scrambled egg: This is the bomb! Filled with all of the goodies from mushroom to asparagus. A balanced dish on top of the Turkish bread. Ps: order their hash brown and mushroom as the sides, they are super good. Shout out to Jonah for the super friendly service!
Yum yum yum. Food was so good I don’t know if I’m like easy to please or something but since lockdown cafes and restaurants have really stepped it up! Or maybe I’m just going to better places.. who knows!! The food was delicious, coffee amazing and atmosphere really really good, not too loud where you are shouting across the table but not too quite where you can hear conversations around you! The staff were all really nice and quick with orders etc. So glad I finally went to lunch here! Also there is a fun little ‘bedsheet’ motif on the roof harking back to when this place was indeed a coin laundry. It’s the little things that we love. 5/5
The food here is superb! Coffee is good too. I have systematically worked through most of their brunch items and have not been disappointed. My favourites are the bush lamb, French toast, eggs Benny, Green goodness, Baked eggs... most items except perhaps the mushrooms which is still fine. Once you know the times to go when it’s not super crowded it’s even better. Staff are also friendly which just tops it off. Grateful to have such a lovely place around for so many years!
Joy is a delightful host of this little gem in Armadale. Nice breakfast and lunch menu. Recommended - California super good salad. Delicious!Food: 5/5
Cute little cafe with plenty of sunshine. Ordered a eggs benedict and was completely surprised - may even be my favourite eggs benny in all of Melbourne! Incredible mix of flavours especially by adding kimchi & and apple - my compliments to the chef! Super generous serves too. The only downfall was the coffee which came out lukewarm and a tad too bit the kind that leaves an aftertaste in your mouth when you're done but I would definitely be back to try more items on the menu!
Ordered the breakfast sandwich and the French toast. The people working there are really lovely and helpful . 100% recommend and we will definitely be back.
