Usually when we come to this Coffee Club the food is of high quality and is tasty. However today as seen in the photos my bacon was cooked to such an extent, that it was inedible. I couldn't put my fork through the bacon as it was rock solid. The rocket which constituted a salad was also not fresh, with a couple yellow. Please see picture. My parents also had the cheese and tomato toasties which were also not up to the required standard. Very disappointing!
Disappointed in the time it took for my family’s meals to be made 35mins. Other patrons who both arrived after us and order after us received their orders before us and in some cases 10 mins earlier. When I enquired on when we could expect to receive our meals the manager failed to offer an apology or any explanation. Further to this, my order was the chicken burger and the chicken was so over cooked I made comment to my family that I think I have a part of old leather boots that would have been more tender. In addition to these short comings I find it strange and ineffective to have an electronic ordering system that doesn’t capture the entire menu. This led to the need to still line up at the counter to order some of the desired menu items.
The team at Coffee Club are always providing exceptional service. I always enjoy coming to CC Carindale cause of the friendly service by the staff, whether I’m dining in or taking away. Thank you and keep up the great work.
I was very excited to try the French Toast which has just been promoted as per photo on the menu. But this is what I get.
Absolutely stellar service! As someone with severe allergies, I always get a little nervous eating in places with large menus due to potential cross contamination. But, I received the best ever service from Luke and the team. Luke went down to the kitchens to ensure that every staff member was taking the utmost care, and he even checked in with me after I had finished my meal just to make sure I was okay. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a safe and pleasant experience. The food was fantastic too! If you have allergies or food sensitivities, this is the place to eat. Thank you so much!
For a middle of the centre venue it's a great spot for typical CC food. Staff are lovely. The online order at your table saves getting run over by Kmart shoppers.Food: 5/5
Industrial quality lile most TCC. Aslo no instructions for delivery partners so they have to waste time trying to find a small cafe in a giant westfield. If you order coffee thru Doordash/Uber and they are cold when you get them its problably why. It shows how little they care.Food: 2/5
Let's say we I won't be going back there again. Bad customer service. Food was overcooked and to top it off I had to pay $1.50 for sauce to add to my dish.... Hmmm
There are things to like about The Coffee Club TCC. As they are a franchise they’re in most shopping centres and once you’re part of their VIP club, after paying for about 5 medium coffees, you get a free one with your hot drink. This occasion was a group booking of 8. The downside/questionable side is their pricing structure with the product and quantity they give. Paying $6 for 2 slices of supermarket basic bread is pretty cheeky. For that price, I’m expecting some specialty, artisan type bread. Toast is also not listed on your menu and this makes the whole ordering with less contact via the app superfluous as you have to go to the counter anyway. For standard tinned baked beans that have been heated up - I’m the first to appreciate this as the “house made beans” that other cafes offer are glorified kidney beans swimming in tomato sauce. The wonderment is the $3 that you charge for this. There are so many independent cafes that are now on the scene charging much less that a franchise such as TCC should be able to compete or do better on. If you need to have a look at another franchises’ answer sheet, look at how Cafe 63 do it. Their menu listing is a mini book and a pricing structure to match. All in all, I will patronise TCC for their coffees and consider my group options for food elsewhere.
