Excellent location to enjoy the luxury of having a train station all to yourself and site of brilliant sunsets. Ensure you arrive early due to very low frequency of trains that actually do stop here. Weekend/public holiday frequency is one train every two hours. Next to busy road but car park is poorly maintained and isolated. No one will hear you scream if such is needed. Local bus services completely disregard this station in their scheduling so bus connections usually not possible despite 3 bus routes from two separate operators passing right outside. Excellent location to experience the sting of coal dust in your eyes as long coal trains pass the narrow platforms at maximum speed. Also great spot to literally feel the fear of death as shipping containers noisily shudder on freight trains that go even faster than the coal carriers. But for those of us who travel to boolaroo / speers point by public transport, it's brilliant that it's actually there.

a reasonably quiet station with a nice view of the creek and distant hills. close to the main road, a bunnings store, a club and bus stops. the platform on the sydney side is wheel chair friendly and has a carpark, the newcastle side has stairs coming down to the platform from the footpath on the street.

Neat little station. If you plan to catch a train to Sydney from here you'll be happy to know if you are in a wheelchair the Trains to Sydney side can be accessed from the carpark without fuss. But if you plan to catch a train to Newcastle and are in a wheel chair you might need assistance getting down as there is no ramp on the Trains to Newcastle Platform. Other than that great station but lacks an Opal Top-up machine but does have an opal tap on / off reader here on both platforms.

Not all trains stop here but if you were going to Boolaroo, Bunnings or Club Macquarie or the golf course then it's quite conveniently located.
