Classic citifiti gym, well managed and clean considering how busy it gets during peak hours. Lots of room for cardio. Parking present on site but is limited.nnShoutout to Ella from reception for being so helpful during the signup.
NOT A HEALTH CLUBnnThis is a milking station for member money; they’ll charge you, fine you for parking 3 seconds over time but won’t go after non members using the car park, the members are unsanitary, dangerous and breach your privacy in spaces like changing rooms. Complaining to staff achieves absolutely nothing. They’ve got an authority to bill your account already - why would they bother helping you? I have terminated my membership after the fourth incident of being captured on camera by teenagers who think it appropriate to film in the changing rooms.nnTerrible business. Certainly not one interested in your well-being.
I love the gym and Abundance Studio, great value and solid facilities, hence the four stars. However, the parking situation is an issue, not just due to limited space but because some clients block the entrance and ignore others waiting. When I politely asked one man to move so that I can leave the parking lot after waiting for him for minutes, he responded rudely and with entitlement, leaving several cars stuck behind him and not budging. As a woman, I don’t feel comfortable addressing this myself. I’d appreciate if the gym could step in during busy times or consider revoking memberships of those who act in a threatening or antisocial way, so all members feel respected and safe.
The Thorndon branch provides an excellent selection of gym and weight equipment. Enables members to try a wide variety of exercises. Spacious facility with good parking. Staff members Rebecca and Hanna always offer a warm welcome
It was a normal and old gym.nCause I stayed at Aurora Hotel, so they give us discounts fee for this gym.nWith two floors, it has a lot of equipment but no deadlift place, so that's so sad if you want some lift.nI came in the springtime, so it's not too hot.nClean and the staff is nice.nJust a short time, so I still enjoy my routine workout!
