I've been a long time member, but I'm pretty close to cancelling my membership - I can't believe how disgusting and run down the facilities are getting. There's a good inch of dust on the backboards in the cardio area, and the machine handles feel like they haven't been cleaned in at least a week. I felt sick touching them. Using the 'cleaning' spray didn't bring much reassurance - the rag is always soaked through and gross to touch maybe why the machines don't get cleaned? The changing room has been out of tissue for three weeks and there's an inch of dust and hair in the container. One of the cardio machines in back has a persistent squeak and has for at least a year. With all the new gyms opening in Wellington I'd think twice before you join Configure Express. It would be nice if they cleaned up their act.
Lovely and approachable staff. Instructors are mindful when you're new and I always enjoyed their classes. They also have various fun programs that you can participate in. I've been there for more than four months and absolutely love it.
I ased to join the gym for a tour. I was informed that 'as I'm legaly female ....how ever it's their policy that I have medical confirmation I'm female' And the manager will make a decision. Perhaps u are not aware s.rs is NOT preformed in nz and when it is its a 50+year wsit list. Internal affairs,dhb, police , doctor,mental health and M.I.A ALL STATE I AM FEMALE. are trans people not subject to human rites? I am appalled by your company policy.
Love my little women's gym on Willis St. Lovely staff and not too crowded so you can always use the equipment
Fun place to exercise; small; women only; fantastic classes; supportive staff
Don’t patronise business where trans people aren’t welcome.
