Busy cafe in the middle of the city. There's two counters where you can order food or drinks. For such a small cafe, there's quite a lot of people working. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Ordered myself a piccolo coffee and it was really good, I think they might be using a medium roast from Campos. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that they used two cups for the piccolo with the outer cup promoting Campos coffee. I thought this was quite wasteful and could have used just the Campos cup. This is probably not the case for all their coffees but beware I guess.
There is a reason this place is so busy. Great coffee and dont let the queue scare you - they get through their orders so quick. New breakfast deals are amazing - $7.5 for coffee and donuts/almond croissant/nutella croissant/mini brekkie burger
Hidden at a corner, with almost quiet and comfortable seats, it is a good place for a quick catch-up or grabbing a bite with a friend.Food: 4/5
Absolutely disgusted with the customer service. The price clearly states on the board that a mocha is $4 and macadamia milk is $1 extra, yet I was charged $5.50. The charge on the receipt attached indicates $4 for the small coffee and $1 for the macadamia milk, but then a random charge of 50 cents for decaf, strong, soy, almond non of which I ordered. When disputing the charge, the lady behind the counter agreed that I was correct and called the owner. The owner would not agree and kept arguing with me, even though the price is clearly indicated on the board. I asked for my money back and he wouldn't give it to me. I asked for a large because that was what I was charged for and he wouldn't agree. He then threatened to call security. This is illegal! You cannot charge for something that wasn't received, or isn't indicated.
Coffee is great. Food is kind of mediocre. Quality of service seems to hinge on whether the owner lovely chap is lurking behind the counter. Atmosphere for dine-in is rather cold and food court-like.
This place only needs 4 words. BEST CAFE IN SYDNEY. The staffs are the best, very helpful, talented, fast, smart and funny. Besides, I drunk Campus coffee somewhere elses but these guys are the best where this coffee making..
FAST service - 1min wait for a Campos coffee in peak hours! Chunky beef soup was amazing! Good, central location. Great for a quick lunch break or social work meeting, though busy thoroughfare makes it a bit noisy at times.
Their almond croissants are stale and old. I purchased one for $6 this morning which is an average price for an almond croissant. I took one bite and immediately could taste the almonds were off and the pastry was stale and try. I went back and they ripped it in front of me to try and show me it was fresh but you could see it wasn’t. I got a refund but I’m not happy by this experience Please remove pastry that is not fresh
Coffee was great but cake was disappointing tasted like thawed frozen cake, as well as an unfortunate price: After sitting down, we were offered a cake deal for $8.50, which included coffee and cake. However when we were paying, we were suddenly informed that it is actually $9.5 instead of $8.5 because $8.50 was apparently the takeout price, which we were not told beforehand. Not a nice way to treat your customers.
Great cafe. Best lemongrass chicken in the cbd for my money. Go there everyday. Top drawer.
