Visited Burwood a couple times and have always come here. Would highly recommend! The food is amazing and there are plenty of choices. I would recommend the wide vermicelli and Chinese cabbage with some tofu and meat. Each component is cooked carefully and the spicy soup base is to die for!! I waited on average 15 minutes and it is so worth it. An awesome place to visit with friends. Depending on how much you get the price ranges but I usually pay around 10-20 dollars which is fair. The place is often busy and slightly noisy but the cashiers are efficient and it helps run more smoothly. Great place to stop by if you are in Burwood. :D
If you have not been here before or experienced one of this restaurants before it definitely worth a try. Basically you fill up a bowl with all different types of Chinese food and it gets cooked in a broth. This one does a pretty good job of it. Food is fresh and tasty, it does feel like the place could do with a good clean, nothing to obvious but you do feel it.
I just loooooved it !!! So incredibly tasty! Maybe we had a good day but we didn't have to wait long. It was around 15 mins which is totally fine. And even if I had to wait longer I really wouldn't care. The taste of it is worth every second. For fast food there is def other options. The staff was very kind and helpful. First time that I went to a venue where you choose and pick your soup's ingredients yourself. Great concept though. Gives you the feeling that you semi-cooked it yourself. I still would recommend to ask the people around you if you feel unsure what to take. I had almost all of the greens that they offered and would also recommend everyone to go for that too. Will come back for more! Well done!! Vegetarian options: You can choose what you want. Huge variety of greens offered. It's not necessary to add any meat which is fantastic!
Amazing Malatang ! Soup base packed with flavour, meat is tender, veggies are well-cooked. I definitely get the hype of this place since it's always packed. However, expect to wait a while for your meal on a busy night-out. Other than that, food is amazing ! Check it out :
Incessant rain in Sydney & food in Malatang was the best thing to have. Loved the soup and the system of serving food. All who enjoy hot spicy soupy food must visit once.Recommended dishesVegetables and Seafood
The food here is consistent with the same shop in Hurstville, and its placement of ingredients is better laid out than the Hurstville branch. Interesting the soup in this shop is served very hot temperature compared to the other shops around here, and between this, Chung King and Zhang Liang, I prefer the original soup base here. One downside is they are slower and they do not use the digital pager. This place can get very crowded quickly during lunch.
Very tasty. I mean comparatively to other malatangs that I v tried in Sydney. Fair price. Good choice for a healthy Chinese treat.
our favorite spot in Burwood.! Depends on yr skill to choose ingredients the tomatoe hotpot in the picture with 5 types of seafood only cost me for 8 dollars.!
Pros: Clean and well presented. Lots of vegetable options... I think Tasty, no problem there Staff were fine I guess Cons: I had a dry mix hotpot today, and it did not feel dry. The fried dough sticks were not dry at all... they were soggy and did not have any crunch Some other item was broken... probably broken by stirfry Otherwise, I can't complain much as I did have a decent meal.
The best freshest food !! Really happy with that ,Thank you and see u soon again!
