Overall, my experience has been positive. I completed my white card, EWP and Traffic Management through Chisholm and all very effective and knowledgeable people taking the courses. I have had issues with other applications for courses getting lost etc but overall, a positive experience. :-
I am extremely disappointed in Chisholm customer service and admin side of things. My course was great, I didn’t need help from teachers during the whole course luckily or that would have been a whole new nightmare in itself with the lack of communication they provide. I finished my course in June 2021, over 18 months ago and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY CERTIFICATE!! I have chased this up over 20 times since I completed the course, each time waiting over an hour on hold to speak to someone who also turns out to be absolutely useless and tells me a different story each time as to why they cannot seem to send me my certificate. I moved over a year ago and updated my address with them multiple times over the phone, each time the different staff member I spoke to told me it was updated successfully and my certificate will be sent out the next day. Since chasing this up AGAIN I have finally been told that my address is in fact NOT updated and to update your details you have to send them an email. They are now claiming they posted my certificate 4 months ago to my old address after I had updated it with them 3 times prior to the date they apparently posted it to me. They now are telling me they are going to charge me a $50 fee to post the certificate out again. Not a chance I will be paying a fee for something that is at no fault of my own, it will probably be sent to the wrong address because I have no faith in any of their staff at this point AND what sort’ve golden envelope are they sending my certificate in for it to cost $50 to send a single sheet of paper in an A4 envelope. What an absolute joke, I will NOT be returning to Chisholm for further study and I advise others to look elsewhere for study.
Would give a zero if I could. Student engagement team are rude and love to make things as difficult as possible. Daniel and Azra have the worst customer service skills i have ever come across. As an education provider, you would think that they want to support and set their students up for success. All Chisholm want is money. I will never recommend them to anyone in my industry or ever study with them again.
Bad experiences with two faced teachers stuck right up their own arse, others did too. As evident by the other reviews here, it's got to be the upper management that's killing it for everyone else, and it's been this way for years. Place has gone down the toilet entirely. two stars. I should give one star, but I suppose there are worse places you could study, I won't mention them!
I had my best education experience here. Teachers have relevant industry knowledge, workload is reasonable and I was very happy with my grades upon completion of my course. Highly recommend studying Justice with Chisholm!
Hopeless. I am currently "enrolled" in an online course. Or so I thought. Turns out you have to re-enrol every single study period by calling the generic "Student Engagement" hotline, where you get a different person every. Single. Time. Not once did anyone mention the whole "re-enrol" requirement to me at the point of first engagement or contact, there is no email to remind you, there is no note on the Moodle if there is, it's impossible to see, as that is an absolute mess of information. I had completed 2 modules and was about to commence the 3rd now it is highly likely that I have to wait to next year to complete it as I missed out by a single week to re-enrol on a technicality. I am only writing this review in hopes something gets done about it, because I know that nothing will happen on their end. I'm only sticking with the course as its free and I'm already too far into it now. I cannot even begin to comprehend how difficult it would be to obtain a simple transcript of completed units. Sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it. Do not consider Chisholm at all and Godspeed to the rest of us who are stuck here until our time is up. *edit* I have been told to email the feedback department at Chisholm, which I have done this morning, I have also lodged a formal complaint via their website. I will be keeping track of how long it takes for me to a receive a reply. I will also be emailing every day in the morning and evenings to follow up.
Absolute Dumpster fire of a Company! It's insane that they're allowed to operate. I heard it's the upper management that all the teachers and staff are leaving constantly, apparently not listening to suggestions to make it a better workplace. They don't have enough customer support administrators, you would think that because they train so many, that they would give the qualified ones jobs? But I guess they don't hire people with Chisholm Certificates! Customer service is absolutely Dismal. You don't hear back from anyone and it's been like this for 4+ years. I give them another go, every so often, but no still trash. They lie about contacting you saying they "missed you" when they never make contact. They hardly Ever Reply to email enquiries. It is an absolute MESS, get you're act together and send this to upper management feedback.
Can not recommend studying with Chisholm online. The teaching was incredibly poor at times with zero support and them just reading straight from the course material with no insight. The material frequently had spelling/grammatical errors and hyperlinks that don't work. To add to this there is obviously communication issues internally as you'll be told one thing and then told something completely different when dealing with the student officers. They also decided to implement and coerce expensive "student service fees" halfway through the course.
What a complete waste of my time and effort! Enrolled into the BET course July last year and although it was a government subsidised online based course due to covid, the organisation of the course was an absolute nightmare. They tried to make me pay for it twice because they enrolled me twice, my Chisholm email didn’t work for weeks even after multiple calls to the BET department. They couldn’t work out if I was doing the Batchelor or the Undergraduate even though I had enrolled in the Undergraduate. The engineering mathematics subject kept changing teachers who all taught differently to the reference books Chisholm had supplied for the course and when they were called out on it online over recorded video, they would state that their teaching method was right and the book was wrong. However, the test reflected otherwise and after failing them and attempting to seek support consistently I would just get shut down by both the teachers and the head of the department, Tharshan Vaithianathan. Tharshan would constantly tell me to wait till next week but never responded or provided any support to my emails or calls. He was the original mathematics teacher and always had to leave early until he was replaced by Pinkee Dey who I believe turned up drunk to several online lectures as she would act rather inappropriately. At one stage I told the lecturer, Pinkee that I wanted to seek a tutor and she advised me I didn’t need one and I shouldn’t have one however I kept failing the tests cause the equations were completely different to what we were being taught. Then once I finished the course I didn’t get my final exam results. Only my course results. I had to continually request them but Tharshan kept saying they were on there but they weren’t. In fact I consulted one of the other amazing professors, Arthur and he couldn’t find them either. No one could give me my proper results and it wasn’t until I kept bugging Tharshan that he finally gave them to me after Christmas just before they closed. Surprise surprise I failed the maths component and received an email to re enrol a weeks ago however it was going to cost $4000 because they didn’t receive funding this year. I spoke to Tharshan for almost 45 minutes today explaining the lack of support and teaching issues only to be told there is nothing they can do. So I wasted 6 months of my life and annual leave as I work full time and had to take time off to do this course. Lesson learnt though. I will never enrol in a Chisholm course again and will be going elsewhere to study my BET which Tharshan advised I do as well surprisingly
Put an application in to study with Chisholm institute online. They then sent me links to complete tests taking up to 2hrs of my day, which I willingly completed in order to continue my adult education. I then spent days following up with them to see what was happening with my application as I had not heard anything other than their request to do these tests for them. Finally after calling AGAIN today, they now tell me they don't service my area. This is online study, is it not? Why does it matter if I live in Country VIC? Why waste my time with these tests etc, then dump this on me after I have to continually follow up. Such poor form, I am not impressed at all
