I came here on a Friday afternoon and it didn't look too busy. Inside Chinatown there is a food court with Vietnamese food, Japanese food and Chinese food of course. This place has its own stalls selling different products such as bakery, butcher, shoes, clothes, hairdressers, phone cases, kitchen appliances, underwear, Lim Chor supermarket...They are good prices. All products made in China. Everything looks traditional Chinese style market. You should come and feel it your way, I found some interesting items here. I think I will come back next time
I found lots of stores here, you can all most find everything here. It’s a shame that half of the stores where closed, don’t know if it’s for temporary or permanently. I think because it’s almost the Chinese New Year. It’s really red all around, a really lively atmosphere.
The name Chinatown is a misnomer as this is not a street with various Chinese shops/restaurants lining up beside each other. Rather, this is a warehouse which houses a supermarket, small Chinese shops and a Chinese food court. While the place is not maintained in a tip-top condition, it is by no means run-down either. You can probably get most of your Chinese wares/groceries under one roof here, and some prices are fairer than that of Taiping's a popular Chinese supermarket chain. Plenty of parking around the compound, and don't let the facade of the Saigon restaurant which faces the main road fool you yes this part of the Chinatown looks more lackluster than the rest. The main entrance is in the middle of the compound.
Chinese market stores selling a variety of quality Asian products & produce. Everything made in china!.. Food court area has several restaurants to choose from includung Vietnamese, Chinese,& Japanese style foods. Different & Unique shopping experience but worth a visit...
Can you guys sort your toilets out please? It's really unhygienic, poor standards, no one seems to clean it regularly and there's mould on the sinks and vinyl floor, especially when it's near the food court. 1 extra star for the restaurants that try to survive and serve us delicious food.
The Hi-Tech phone repair store inside the town is honest and reliable. I changed my battery here 4 months ago but my phone starts to reboot frequently recently. I was unsure if it’s because of the new battery. They changed a battery for me for free even I already exceeded their warranty and problem solved. Other stores would blame onto other parts and scam me for hundreds
Great little spot. Awesome Asian supermarket and also some gems of Asian food places especially the Thai place which is my favourite Thai in Auckland. Worth the visit.
Chinese arts and crafts Not sure about the product grade. Chinese food Did not had appetite to try. I found that the people who doing bussness in here , forget that they are in New Zealand. Very rude and unfriendly. Make sure you dont touch anything Had very bad experience.
This place is really well laid out and the foodhall has a great variety of asian food. I love the hairdresser place owned by Lucy. She's there on her own and knows her stuff. Awesome haircut.
This is a major disappointment. It had so much potential when it opened. Now it is run down, most shops closed. The toilets are disgusting. I'm not keen to visit again.
